Dear all,
Make It British Live!
It’s that time of year again – Make It British Live! (formerly known as Meet the Manufacturer) is back next week, Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th May, and as regular attendees and supporters of this event we will of course be there.

Make it British Live! is a business to business show, with over 200 exhibitors. Exhibitors range from garment manufacturers to sample makers, textile mills to trimmings, fabric printers to machinery providers. If you’re looking to manufacture in the UK you’ll find all of the suppliers here that you need.
Visit the Fashion Enter stand to find out all about the production services, educational courses and industry opportunities that we provide. Also on show will be our in-house, all British label: Belles of London.
The two-day trade event located at the Business Design Centre, Islington, also hosts seminars from leading experts in the industry, including our very own CEO Jenny Holloway. She will be speaking alongside the likes of designer Pheobe English, Hareesh Kallambella Senior Production Manager at Burberry, Tom Glover Managing Director at Peregrine Clothing and many others.

Fashioning the Future
Last Monday evening (20th May) Jenny Holloway joined Edwina Ehrman (Senior Curator at the V&A), Mary Creagh MP (Chair of Environmental Audit Committee), Tamara Cincik (CEO and Founder of Fashion Roundtable) and Banita Vadlani (Founder of vegan fashion house Labante) for an insightful debate on transitioning the fashion industry towards more sustainable practices. Hosted by the Young Fabians the panel debate opened to the floor and attracted some astute questions.

Jenny commented: “Thank you to the Young Fabians for the great debate regarding Fast Fashion on Monday night. I totally believe Fast Fashion works – we are proof that reduced quantities sell out at full prices! Less carbon missions delivering locally – it’s a rebirth for Made in the UK.” – Jenny Holloway
