Freelance Production Worker – Ali Barsakchi

Ali Barsakchi has been working with Fashion Enter on a freelance basis as a coverstitch machinist since January 2016.

“I am a coverstitch machinist for over 2-years and as a freelance stitcher I feel as though I have the best type of job as I work when I want to. My wife Violetta is an overlocker and we can leave to visit our friends and family overseas whenever we want. Stitching is a great skill – more people in England should learn to become a stitcher as you will never be out of work with these skills.”

As an award winning social enterprise Fashion Enter supports all of its freelance staff by offering free press and promotion.

Ali is available to work as a freelancer for any company or designer and has their own tools for work.

Ali offers to work by both contract type or hourly work but minimum wage governance applies.

Ali has other colleagues that she works with and can interchange his work accordingly. Ali can also decline work offered too.

Many of the self-employed freelancers that approach Fashion Enter do not have strong English skills and that’s why we offer this free marketing service.

Ali can provide you with skills and expertise but he has the right to decide how the job is done, if he wants to do the work and if Ali makes mistakes then he knows he has to put the work right at his own expense.

Ali may have more than one contract going with other clients at the same time and needs to show you his public liability documents too.

Ali does not require to have training or be involved in your company staff meetings and would not be part of your company disciplinary procedure.
