The FashionCapital/FTA Team Showcase at FESPA
09-10-2024
For over 50 years FESPA has been supporting the printing sector with successful exhibitions, events and publications to provide education, business and networking opportunities. From, 14th May, FESPA 2019 Europe’s largest professional printing exhibition with over 700 exhibitors, has opened its doors in Munich, Germany.
The exhibition showcases the latest innovations and product launches in digital and screen-printing along with graphics, packaging and industrial and textile applications. This year in the textile hall three outstanding Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) students and three FTA tutors are providing live demonstrations to showcase the educational and top-notch production services we provide for the fashion manufacturing industry.
Here’s what the team had to say about the event after day one:
CEO of FashionCapital / FTA Jenny Holloway said: “Last year we were invited as guest speakers at FESPA and the event opened our eyes to a whole new world of digital technology – absolutely amazing. This year we have been invited to showcase the stitching skills of our workforce and advanced learners from the FTA; we are also showcasing our own range – Belles of London too. It’s a privilege to be asked to showcase at such a major international event.”
Vali said: “I am the supervisor at the Factory and I am also a part-time tutor in the Stitching Academy. Yesterday I was making a palm print too with black satin binding. This is the new way to manufacture.”
Leyla commented: “I have worked with Jenny and Fashion Enter for over nine years and this is one great experience for us all. FESPA is full of new developments in fashion. Printers that cut out the garments ready to stitch. The only thing not here are machines that can stitch – so at least my job is safe!”
Dalores added: “This has been the best experience of my life – we have met 100s of people in the live factory set up at FESPA and I have shown people my stitching skills that I have learnt at the FTA. I want to go to Madrid 2020 FESPA now!”
Talking about the continual growth of the event FESPA Exhibitions Director Roz Guarnori said: “Last year’s FESPA 2018 Global Print Expo was a vibrant, action-packed event that absolutely surpassed even our own expectations, from the energy and appetite for innovation among our diverse visitor audience, to the incredible range of new products brought to market by our exhibitors. Our own research and the electric mood of the show reinforce our confidence that speciality print and signage are sectors that never stop inventing, exploring, pushing boundaries and looking for new ways to achieve growth.”
FESPA Global Print Expo 2019 is on at Munich Messe until Friday 17th May 2019.
