Pure London – Made in Britain Bursary

Widely acknowledged as the UK’s leading fashion trade buying event, Pure London is unveiling the launch of an innovative ‘Made in Britain Subsidies Scheme’ – a bursary for British manufacturer’s and suppliers to exhibit at the event due to take place on 22nd – 24th July.

This introductory scheme transpires to permit new embryonic British fashion brands to illustrate their collections at Pure London alongside British manufacturers, suppliers of fabric and mills under the umbrella of Pure Origin. Space will be allocated to applicants with the additions of stand build, lighting, furniture and carpet that will be included as a token payment. This allowance applies to all production applicants given they are situated and operating in the UK.

Managing Director of Pure London, Julie Driscoll, comments: “Pure London is a global exhibition but we have always championed British fashion. We seek to nurture the next generation of home-grown talent. This bursary is an initiative to enable designers, brands, suppliers and manufacturers to kick-start their careers through reaching an audience of over 10,000 retailers, buyers and sourcing managers at London’s largest festival of fashion.”

Those working in the fashion trade can visit and check out upcoming seasonal collections at the trend curated catwalk shows and sit in on esteemed seminars and workshops where they will be able to listen to their peers and other industry experts. The bi-annual event is fundamentally targeted at UK and international independent buyers, as well as multiples, department stores, e-tailers and mail order businesses who want to remain one step ahead of the style game.

The forthcoming edition of Pure London and Pure Origin will be held at London Olympia from 22nd – 24th July 2018.
