Enter Ltd X Kornit Digital Year 6 Design Competition
03-07-2023
In parallel with London Tech Week 2023, Phygitaltwin, Fashion-Enter Ltd and Kornit Digital have joined forces on a sustainable fashion competition. Phygitaltwin offers solutions for creators, communities and businesses to monetise 2D/3D assets into fashion collections and skins.
Over the past month (June 2023) Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School children (Year 6) have used digital tools on an avatar to create their own digital designs online. Ex-Burberry Louise Laing, founder of Phygitaltwin.io has been educating and supporting the children on how to use the tools to create their own unique hoodie designs.
On Wednesday 5th July fashion industry judges will name the 3 winning designs. The judges are: Jayne Pickering (Vogue, Marie Claire); Mary Fellowes and Amanda Eliasch. A Green Tomato eco car will take the 3 winners and Children’s Parliament Prime Minister, Harry Acheampong, aged 11, to Fashion-Enter Ltd’s micro factory to ‘make winning entry’ there-and-then. Using the very latest Kornit Digital printing technology the winners will be able to see their garment become a reality right before their eyes!
London Tech Week, now in its 10th year, took place from the 12th – 16th June at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. Across 3 days the event brought together inspirational founders, top business leaders, policymakers, investors and rising stars to engage in discussions on technologies that will unlock new opportunities and transform the future.
The Phygitaltwin design competition aims to engage with school children and showcase how new technology can support on-demand fashion production in terms of sustainability, fit and customisation, along with merging digital and physical options.
