Phenomenal Turn Out At Make It British Live! 2018

26-03-2025

Former fashion buyer Kate Hills founded a website called Make it British in 2011 and has since incorporated the Make It British Live! trade event and conference (formerly known as ‘Meet the Manufacturer’). With each year the event has grown, starting out with 56 exhibitors from across the industry to now over 200 and as the past two days (23rd/24th May) will testify the demand for British made goods is out there!

As a company we have long supported Kate’s vision and ethos and are regulars with a stand at the event. This year Maisie Marshall and Jenny Beth Golding (pictured being filmed right) chatted to visitors on the stand about the education and production services we provide at our North London factory and Fashion Technology Academy.

Jenny Beth Golding, Fashion Studio/Brand Manager commented:

“Fantastic event! Had a queue of people wanting to learn about what we do! One lady came up to us looking disappointed and left saying ‘ I’m leaving on a high because of Fashion Enter and I look forward to working with you all’.

“I really highlighted our morals and transparency and that we’re here to protect your brand and your company to ensure you are as successful as you can possibly be.

“It’s a fantastic event to meet suppliers and build those working relationships to empower the British manufacturing industry. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!”

Meanwhile our CEO Jenny Holloway spoke candidly about ethical fashion production and how she ensures her factory in North London is compliant in every area.

Jenny added: “Thank-you Make it British! What a lively audience we had in at the conference. A real buzz and vibe. Well done Kate; great work. Eric Musgrave thank-you for putting me on the spot as you always do! Loved it! Happy Birthday Eric too.”

The conference included important individuals across the industry that discussed topics such as exporting goods, sustainability and developing sector skills.

Well done team ‘Make It British’ on the turnout and success of the event – empowering the British manufacturing industry indeed – see you all at the next one!
