Omar Mansoor Understanding His Craft Inside Out
24-09-2019
At the recent SS20 edition of London Fashion Week Omar Mansoor presented his latest collection entitled ‘Fashion Pact’. Sustainability has always been high on Omar’s agenda and earlier this year his couture house got certified by the London College of Fashion in ‘fashion and sustainability.’
Back in 2013 Omar enrolled with Fashion-Enter ltd as a Level 1 Stitching Academy student, already established as a fashion designer Omar was keen to really understand how well-made clothes are constructed and sewn. The following year he continued to deepen his understanding by learning more on the Perfect Patterns Level 1 course. His drive to continually learn and hone his craft has really paid off in terms of growing his business and his client list. Since 2008 he has developed his eponymous label and his luxurious, elegant style.
For SS20 he centres around two key colours; royal blue and forest green representing the precious oceans and the lands that are currently under threat from climate change. Chiffons, georgettes, silks and laces are fair trade sourced while all of Omar’s designs are produced ethically in London. Keeping to a timeless silhouette one-shoulder evening gowns, fluid tiered dresses and dramatic floor-length gowns all receive Omar’s attention to detail and his ability to make a woman feel glamorous and yet demure at the same time.
CEO of Fashion-Enter ltd Jenny Holloway comments: “Omar always went above and beyond expectations in the stitching and patterns classes. An eye for detail and always positive with a can-do attitude. We are so proud of all your achievements Omar and you so deserve your success.”
