Oasis Mania Sparks Massive Fashion and Retail Revival Ahead of Reunion Tour

14-09-2025

As Oasis prepares to make their long-awaited return to the stage, the ripple effect of their reunion is shaking up not just the music scene—but the fashion and retail industries too. From terrace trainers to tin-sized Gallaghers, Oasis mania is in full swing across the UK and beyond.

According to new data from JD Sports, demand for Oasis-themed fashion has exploded—searches including “Oasis” on the retailer’s site surged by an eye-watering 913% in June compared to May. Even broader searches for “Oasis” alone increased by 464%, as fans scramble to recreate the iconic 90s Britpop look in time for the band’s reunion tour, which kicks off in Cardiff on July 4.

Footwear closely associated with the band’s style—namely retro adidas silhouettes—are also experiencing a boom:

Callum McGuinness, Digital Trading Lead at JD UK & ROI, puts it simply: “With Oasis fever sweeping the UK, fans are embracing the nostalgia by turning to timeless adidas silhouettes—such as Gazelles, Sambas, and Spezials—to complete their gig-ready looks.”

It’s not just big-name retailers seeing a surge. On Faire, the wholesale marketplace connecting indie brands with retailers, UK sales of Oasis-themed products are up 150% year-on-year, with global sales soaring 230%. From bucket hats (up 275% in UK sales) to Gallagher-style parkas, shoppers are diving deep into 90s fashion.

Search interest on Faire is up fivefold compared to the same period last year, with search volumes remaining 40% higher than usual since the reunion was announced in August 2024.

Charlotte Broadbent, UK GM of Faire, notes: “Oasis Mania is here and the nation’s independents are capitalising on the rising demand. We expect the trend to carry through into 2026 as Oasis captures the imagination of a new generation.”

When it comes to the Gallagher brothers, one is clearly leading the charge. Data from both JD and Faire shows Liam Gallagher as the retail favourite, with more searches, purchases, and fan enthusiasm centred on his unmistakable swagger.

At Manchester’s The Manchester Shop, (pictured right) located in the Northern Quarter, owner Miki Christi is riding the wave: “We’re up 147% on Oasis products since the tour announcement. Every Saturday the shop is buzzing—locals, tourists, and Liam-a-likes in parkas singing along to the classics.”

Miki notes distinct shopper demographics: “The original fans are buying art prints and home decor, while the new generation is all about personal expression—band tees, beanies, and bag pins. It’s become more than nostalgia; it’s part of their identity.”

Independent makers are seeing a global appetite for Oasis nostalgia. Megan Patey, owner of Blue Iris Designs, sells art prints through Faire. Her Oasis-themed artwork, including the bestselling “Roll With It” bathroom print, has driven a 1,300% sales increase over the past year.

“I thought it would be a Manchester thing,” Megan admits, “but now I’m shipping to the Netherlands and Portugal. The Oasis tour has opened up an entire market.”

Meanwhile, Susan McKenna, founder of Fat Hen and Flo, offers “Tinned Idols”—miniature figures of British icons. “Liam-in-a-tin” (pictured below) is a hit among superfans, especially women. “They take him everywhere—in their bags, to gigs. It’s not about being cool, it’s about pure love for Liam.”

Whether through fashion, art, collectibles, or terrace footwear, Oasis’s reunion is shaping up to be more than a comeback—it’s a full-fledged cultural revival. With fans old and new embracing the band’s style, spirit, and sound, retailers across the UK are preparing for a long-term boom.
