MP Supports Fashion – Enter and National Manufacturing Day

08-07-2022

The Fashion-Enter team in Haringey were delighted to welcome Abena Oppong-Asare MP, Shadow Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, for a visit and tour of the factory to mark the first National Manufacturing Day (7/7/2022).

Production Director Caroline Ash guided Abena and Eric Osei, Economic Director at Haringey Council, around the factory floor explaining each stage of production and the projects currently underway.

Abena said: “I am delighted to support National Manufacturing Day. I am here to see Fashion-Enter and the work they are doing. They are doing great work in the community and beyond and also promoting sustainable fashion. Make sure you support businesses like Fashion-Enter.”

Abena was particularly impressed with our technology, including the FashTech Innovation Centre incorporating Kornit Digital printing technology, and the far reaching projects that we are working on. The visit was extremely positive and the team have invited Abena back to further discuss community driven projects.

National Manufacturing Day, founded by Make UK, provides the opportunity for manufacturers’ to showcase their range of highly skilled staff, services and jobs by throwing open their doors in a UK wide Open House. Many UK businesses supported this National open day including the likes of Lush, David Nieper and Brompton. Throughout the day we had two time slots open to visitors for a tour of the factory. After Abena’s visit we welcomed apprentices and start-up business owners for an insightful look at what goes on in our ethical and compliant factory.

Personal letter of thanks from Abena
