Join Us at the 3D Tech Festival for Apparel & Fashion

08-09-2020

Fashion-Enter’s Production Director Caroline Ash has been invited to speak at the very first 3D Tech Festival for Apparel & Fashion. The 4-day online event will host over 40 influential speakers that will discuss how 3D tech will re-imagine how we live, work and learn in an apparel world that has gone digital.

Caroline will discuss the title topic ‘Are you industry ready?’ during the Careers Day segment of the 4-day programme. Many graduates enrol at the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) with degrees in design but are lacking the technical competency to actually create their own successful brands. The FTA was set up by the British Government to address the problem of poor construction, pattern and sewing skills by providing qualifications and technical apprenticeships from Levels 1 – 5.

Additionally, FTA has invested over £240,000 in the latest software technology to provide 2D and 3D avatars to ensure sustainable and ethical sampling and production occurs using the digital body data from Alvanon. In this session, Caroline Ash reviews what the British industry really needs and why ‘Made in the UK’ is the new growth sector for fashion today.

The 3D Tech Festival is facilitated by Alvanon and learning partner Motif and is attracting hundreds of 3D professionals from the likes of Nike, Ralph Lauren, The North Face, M&S, Puma and many more. The 3D TECH Festival will be online, on demand, and for no fee from 14th – 17th September 2020.
