Graduate Fashion Week 2017 Menswear prize winner Daniel Rynne, has been named as the latest designer to gain Debenhams grass roots talent support with an in-store collection for AW18.
Daniel Rynne’s menswear collection sees a commercial take on the Arts University, Bournemouth graduate’s 2017 award winning final show. Key pieces take direct inspiration from Rynne’s graduate work and present a deconstructed and reconstructed collection including a utilitarian parka with an integral gilet, pleated trousers and panelled workwear pants.
The collection also includes accessories with a selection of hats and footwear. A collaboration between Rynne and Footwear brand Loake, sees Rynne’s handwriting carried through, with mismatch panelled leather brogues and boots.
Debenhams Fashion and Home Managing Director, Steven Cook says, “Debenhams has a rich heritage of supporting and working with designers and we are delighted to extend this to emerging and grass roots design talent. Through creating these new collections we are offering our customers something that is genuinely exciting and new from names that they may not normally come across. At the same time we are taking the talent on a journey to build their profile to a mass customer as well as walking through the process of how to create collections for a high street market.”
The collection will be available online as well as in selected stores. On collaborating with Debenhams Daniel Rynne says, “I am beyond thrilled to have worked on a collection that is so integral to my original graduation show. I have learnt an enormous amount from the process and to have a range in a high street store bearing my name, considering I just graduated last summer is amazing.” As part of Daniel’s 2017 Graduate Fashion Week Menswear prize Rynne also won a one-year internship with the department store where he has worked within the different menswear design departments since September.
Daniel Rynne’s clothing collection will range from £30 to £225 with Loake brogues retailing at £230 and boots at £240.
Graduate Fashion Week 2018 will take place from 3rd – 6th June 2018.
