Get Involved: Made in UK Day 9th March 2022

08-03-2022
This week, Wednesday 9th March, the Make It British team will be championing ‘Made in UK Day’. The UK manufacturing industry is worth £192 billion to the UK economy and employs 2.7 million people. If every person bought just one item made in the UK worth £20 on #madeinukday it would be worth £1.3 billion!
Make it British was founded 11 years ago by ex-retail buyer Kate Hills, who started a blog about UK made products. She has since developed the company to include an annual trade show, directory and regular podcasts. Over the last decade, makeitbritish.co.uk has been visited by more than 6.5 million people looking to buy UK-made products and search out UK manufacturers.
Whether you are a business or a consumer you can support Made in UK Day:
If you are a business: There are downloadable championing packs for 2022 which includes visual and written resources that your business can share across all platforms.
And if you are a consumer: You can pledge to buy UK-made on 9 March 2022 and help UK manufacturing to thrive! There is also downloads and ideas of how to get involved with Made in UK Day campaign via the website tap here to view.
