FC Designer Collective: Sip & Shop Success

Last Saturday, 24th July, we were finally able to hold the ‘Diva Choice’ Sip & Shop event at the FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road. After the various restrictions and lockdowns due to the pandemic, it was wonderful to see local creatives get together and create such a positive and joyful event.
Diva Choice, founded by Tricia Blake, is a womenswear accessories, clothing and pampering brand, that aims to empower and make women feel and look amazing. Stocked at the FC Designer Collective the event not only shone a spotlight on her designs but was the launch of a collaboration with another talented creative, Mary Obaseki, founder of Another Earthling and Aniseed Accessories.
In amongst the cocktails, cupcakes and tunes Aniseed Accessories and Diva Choice launched their collaborative collection of 2021’s hottest hair glamour looks, every piece is handcrafted with love in London using vintage, repurposed and locally sourced materials. For those that love glamour and the planet, this collection serves up the finest in upcycled drip! Saving the planet never looked so fierce.
Doors opened at midday and attendees were invited to browse the various collections, socialise and take advantage of the special discounts on offer. Both Tricia and Mary were extremely pleased with how the event went and to see all their hard work pay-off.
Tricia commented: “Both of our brands design headwear and loved the idea of coming together and upcycling a hair loss glamour line made from Diva Choice collection pieces that may have diamanté’s missing or that may be broken in parts and cannot be sold.
“Our collection is designed to help restore confidence and encourage women to shine through any stage adversity they may be facing (which is the ethos of Diva Choice) all whilst being kind to the planet as that is an important ethic to Mary of Aniseed accessories.”

“After a very difficult year of lockdowns and shop closures we were finally able to host an in-store shopping event at the FC Designer Collective, and it was a huge success! Organised and hosted by Tricia founder of Diva Choice, Tricia pulled out all the stops to keep the shop busy with live music, drinks flowing and cupcakes to enjoy! It was an opportunity for Tricia to launch her new jewellery collection as well as sell and promote her collaboration with fellow local designer Mary Obaseki founder of Another Earthling and Aniseed Accessories. Huge well done to both ladies, it really shows how much potential the shop has and how the space can support local small businesses.”
