Fashion’s Future: Graduate Fashion Week 2024

21-03-2025

At The Truman Brewery in east London Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) is well underway (10th – 13th June) and on Tuesday 11th, Leah and Jasmine from the Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team attended a busy schedule of shows and talks, alongside the sprawling GFW exhibition.

Networking with graduates, uni’s and colleges, Leah and Jasmine attended the Bath Spa University BA Fashion Design catwalk show. Leah said: “The atmosphere was electric, capturing the essence of fashion’s future unfolding in front of our eyes.” GFW presents awards spanning many fashion disciplines throughout the event and from the Bath Spa show Hannah Bailey was announced as the winner from the presentation.

GFW highlights included: Kloss Films that featured a new booth showcasing innovative fashion films. Their standout concepts included experimental outfits set against the backdrop of a secondary school and the vibrant UK festival culture, depicted through large tent-like garments filmed on a busy summer field.

It was also refreshing to see the industry’s hottest issues being discussed in the talk space, such as sustainability and ethics being addressed in a way that resonated with small, independent designers. The discussions offered practical advice on making a significant impact in today’s challenging landscape.

Now in its 33rd year, Graduate Fashion Week continues to bridge the gap between graduation and employment by shining a light on the talent of tomorrow. The organisation is backed by a number of global brands and companies dedicated to supporting the emerging designers and creatives of the future. It also benefits from the wisdom of high-profile ambassadors and Lifetime Patrons, including Dame Zandra Rhodes DBE RDI, Christopher Bailey MBE, Nick Knight OBE, Victoria Beckham OBE, Caryn Franklin MBE, Gok Wan MBE and Christopher Raeburn.

Plus, there’s more to come, on Thursday 13th June, with the ‘Best Of’ show. This event will feature the Graduate Fashion Week X Ellesse finalists’ designs, produced by FEL’s Fashion Studio team in our Haringey factory. The collection will be featured on our Social Media –  @fashionenterltd from Thursday 13th June.
