Fashion Technology Academy Makes The Tes FE Awards Shortlist

We are thrilled to announce that the educational division of Fashion-Enter Ltd, the Fashion Technology Academy has been shortlisted in the Tes FE Awards 2021.

The Tes FE Awards, now in its 10th year, is further education’s most prestigious awards ceremony, shining the spotlight on the achievements of the sector. With 18 award categories the aim is to recognise outstanding individuals and institutions in Further Education: from the best specialist providers to colleges going the extra mile in the community; to amazing apprenticeship programmes and a progressive use of technology.

The Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) opened in March 2016, the fully equipped FTA is an extension of the successful Stitching Academy and includes a range of qualifications at Levels 1 to 4, which cover the entire of the ‘Garment life cycle’ including Stitching, Production and Pattern Cutting.

Fashion-Enter is also one of the largest training providers of Advanced Apprenticeships at Levels 3 and 4 within Apparel Manufacturing (fashion) working with employers such as ASOS.com, Marks & Spencer, River Island, Debenhams, Jigsaw and M&Co.

The FTA is the first apparel manufacturing training academy in the country to operate alongside a live Factory and Fashion Studio ensuring that students gain exposure to real ‘Best of British’ manufacturing skills whilst training for their accredited qualifications. The FTA has been created to train a new generation of skilled workers to ensure that the UK apparel manufacturing sector continues to thrive. All the tutors are industry trained and highly qualified in the teaching profession providing an excellent teaching provision that uses real work based skills.

For the last two years we have had 100% success rates in our award qualifications reflecting that we firmly put the learner at the heart of our training provision.”

The Fashion Technology Academy has been shortlisted in the Tes FE Awards ‘Training Provider of the Year’ category. The winners from each of the 18 categories will be announced via an online ceremony on the 28th May 2021. To find out more about the awards and those shortlisted tap here.
