Fashion Enter’s Apprentice of the Year 2018

23-04-2025

Fashion Enter’s award winning Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) provides high quality accredited training in fashion and textiles from Level 1 to 5 and is currently England’s leading training provider in apprenticeships Level 3 for technical skills.

Recently, the FTA was awarded a training contract with Savile Row Bespoke Association to deliver the Level 5 bespoke tailoring advanced apprenticeship. Fashion Enter was the first company to start the apprenticeship programme in 2010 and now works with over 33 retailers including M&S, New Look, ASOS.com and Jigsaw. The programme is unique within the industry as it trains apprentices in a live factory environment to provide effective hands-on production skills. The factory, based alongside the FTA in North London produces over 10,000 garments a week for high street brands such as ASOS.com.

Each year Fashion Enter runs an award for their outstanding apprentice of the year and we are pleased to announce that this year’s winner is Georgia Fletcher who works as an aspiring garment technologist on the factory floor.

Georgia Fletcher comments: “I’ve always wanted to work in the fashion industry and eventually become a fashion designer. The apprenticeship programme has enabled me to upskill in so many ways that I wouldn’t have been able to do if I had gone to University.

“Working and training in a live manufacturing factory has equipped me with invaluable knowledge of the multiple processes of garment construction and I believe it will guide and prepare me with the fundamental skills I need to progress my career in the future.

“I am truly thankful to have had the opportunity to attend the apprenticeship scheme and grateful I was made aware of the programme via the website www.fashioncapital.co.uk.”
