The meeting discussed manufacturing contracts for Transport for Wales uniforms and the emphasis was on keeping production local and amongst social enterprises that supports local workers and their communities.

The meeting concluded that a unique collaboration of four social enterprises will manufacture the new uniforms. For Fashion-Enter Ltd this will centre on the design and creation of the maternity and menopause ranges that will incorporate Kornit Digital printing technology and kind pigment inks.

Jenny Holloway commented: “Fashion-Enter Ltd is absolutely delighted to wave that Made in Wales flag! A big thank-you to Andrea Wayman, who was an absolute ambassador for the programme!

“Let’s hope that this is the start of many more initiatives to keep manufacturing jobs in the UK.”
