FC Fashion Meetup #3 – 19th April 2018

Our FC Fashion Meetup events provide the opportunity for designers, brands and fashion entrepreneurs to informally meet, have a drink, network and to hear exclusive insight from a special guest speaker. Imparting advice and expertise from her 38-year career Buying Controller from River Island, Tina Baum, will be joining our CEO, Jenny Holloway, for the third Big Black Sofa Conversation taking place on the 19th April.
Tina (pictured right) has worked her way up from management trainee assistant buyer to head of buying to the buying executive role she has established to date. Her career spans large retail brands such as Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Arcadia Group and now River Island. With her successful track record and business success in the competitive retail environment Tina will be able to share her considerable knowledge on the industry in many product areas such as Womenswear, Accessories, Lingerie and Kidswear.
Tina comments: “I would describe myself as enthusiastic, pragmatic, flexible, a true multi-tasker, passionate about product and my role. I want to do this “on the sofa” as I like the idea of giving back something to an industry which has given me so much over a 38-year career!”
FC FashionMeetUp #3 takes place Thursday 19th April 2018 from 17.00 to 20.00
