24-11-2025
Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) was honoured to welcome David Lammy, Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Chancellor, Secretary of State for Justice and MP for Tottenham, to its Haringey factory on Friday, 21st November. The visit highlighted the vital role of ethical, skilled UK manufacturing and the importance of strengthening homegrown production across key sectors.

Jenny Holloway, CEO of Fashion-Enter Ltd and Chair of the Apparel & Textile Manufacturers Federation (ATMF), described the visit as energising and timely.
“What an inspiring visit today! We’re beating that drum for recognition of what Made in the UK really means,” she said. “PPE, military uniforms, staff workwear, and prison-wear contracts should be awarded to hardworking, skilled, ethical factories here in the UK.”

During the tour, David Lammy observed garments being produced on FEL’s manufacturing line, engaged with pattern-cutting students and staff, and explored the work of key FEL partners including MAEKNIT INC., Style3D, and the United Repair Centre. The visit offered firsthand insight into modern British garment production, from technical training to innovative circular-economy repair models.
Holloway emphasised that the moment is right for the industry to speak up: “This really is the time for the manufacturers’ voice to be heard! More to follow!”
Fashion-Enter Ltd continues to advocate for fair procurement, local job creation, and the recognition of UK textile manufacturing as a vital national asset.
