Hanging it all together for the fashion
industry

NEWSLETTER

So what do you think of the new
multi media section on the home page…how quick was that! The merry crew at
FashionCapital have been working night and day (me…exaggerate!) to really
start cranking up the site. In response, the unique user sessions are
soaring and we have now been inundated with requests for advertising – of course
we are happy to oblige!

Remember, if you have any fashion
DVDs, personal bios or other snippets of fashion tittle tattle on disk then send
them into us at our head office FashionCapital,   Fashion House, First
Floor, 28 Station Approach, Hayes, Bromley, Kent BR2 7EH and we will showcase
them on the home page for you.

The Google Ads have been very
successful and now you can have your label, company and services blazing in
lights on the site. Just contact us directly through advertising@fashioncapital.co.uk for
further details and the competitive advertising rates are now available for full
view on our Advertising
Page.

Thanks for all the amazing
illustration entries for the mobile phones competition; some of the
submissions have been outstanding. Many thanks to Jenni Sutton, Maggie
Doyle, Manza Isaque, Lousie Brangwin and Faye Martin to name a few.

The “Getting it Right First Time”
workshops with Croydon College are a huge hit. The 35 plus
students, under the careful and highly talented eye of Gayle Atkins, are working
in association with Fashion Enter, Equals (Justine Wright and Chris Lee from
CiPS, Newham College), Croydon Business (Angelina Purcell), Croydon Enterprise
(Stella Okeahialan) and the Croydon Advertiser, with the one and only,
David Callam.  The second year students are working in teams to
create t-shirt ranges that will then be sold in the Enter Boutique in
Centrale’s prestigious shopping centre mid November.

Each collection has to have a
complete marketing plan, logo, labels, hangers, press releases… everything as
any aspiring new designer collection would require for success. To
facilitate this process we have organised a handbook of vital information,
such as contracts, confidentiality agreements, license agreements et al and also
guest speakers that really do inform the students of the ups and downs of owning
a business.  The workshops put the practice into theory
to ensure that any business gets it right first time and is ready for a
successful market launch.

Congratulations
to Fashion Enter
Ltd for securing buying meetings with both
Selfridges (meeting on Thursday 2nd November) and Bentalls (20th November)
– this is just what new and emerging designers need a proactive agency
that networks with major high street brands.

More good news…we are developing
strong links with China and
South
Africa
– more about this in the next
newswire.

Ok, have a good one, until next
week.
