Ever-evolving, moving and morphing fashion stops for no-one and with this in mind the time has come to take a look at tomorrow’s industry players as we enter graduate season. From Sunday Graduate Fashion Week kicks off at Earl’s Court and we will be there to report on all the action.
Last night Central Saint Martin’s presented their BA design grads; a colourful explosion of imaginative ideas for the most part with the annual ‘L’Oreal Professional Award’ going to Mao Usami for her collection of oversize tartan, velvet and lace baseball jackets and sportswear shapes.

Ashleigh Kane gets in the holiday mood with the latest swimwear and beach trends, The House of Hackney announces a first UK flagship store and Michaela Jedinak, personal stylist & founder of Joy of Clothes launches her very own dress collection to suit a wide range of body shapes. The dresses were made at The Fashion Studio, and even if we do say it ourselves, they look rather good.

FashionCapital Heads East…
FashionCapital will head to Turkmenistan tomorrow to participate in the Turkmen of Textiles event from 1st – 3rd June.
Turkmenistan’s textile industry is one of the leading and most developed industries in the country. FashionCapital will be joining the three day exhibition by showcasing British designers and networking with key contacts with the Turkmenistan textile industry as well as exhibitors from around the world.
We are delighted to not only have this opportunity to take part in the most important textiles exhibition for the country but to also explore the culture and fashion industry of Turkmenistan.

River Island Second Interviews 
Good luck to the eight candidates who are holding their second interviews with River Island today! They will be spending the day in the production department at the River Island head offices in Ealing where they will have the opportunity to hone in their technical skills and see if they can cope with the fast-paced environment.
Following today’s interviews River Island will select their five apprentices who will work across design, production and quality control whilst on the level 3 programme.

PR Dispensary client; CrystalCupsLingerie took part in their first consumer show last weekend; Mind, Body & Spirit at Earl’s Court and received lots of fantastic feedback. The four-day show also provided brilliant networking and business opportunities and MD of the brand Bunmi Aboaba had a great time sharing her passion and enthusiasm for the concept brand.
