Trends S/S 10 are here!
The new trends for Spring/Summer 2010 are here and ready to view on FashionCapital. Having attended the Trend Union presentation and saw what was being predicted I was both excited and inspired.
The way in which fashion trends are heading is something that we have not seen for quite some time. Shapes are becoming much more feminine, with lots of delicate embellishments.
Illustrated Illusions sum up what I am talking about, its delving deep into the child's mind with hauntingly beautiful garments each telling their own unique story. To view the whole set of boards you would need to be a member to FashionCapital.
For those that are already members please click here and enjoy!

Manufacturers Online Showroom
FashionCapital is delighted to announce that there will be another 18 manufactures uploaded onto the Showroom.
We know only too well the importance of the right production unit for your collection and this is why all the hard work in sourcing and collating important information regarding different manufacturers has been done for you. The concept of the Manufacturers Online Showroom is to help you source the right supplier; from the comfort of your own computer you can review a cross section of UK CMT (Cut, Make and Trim units) and manufacturers that could supply the right production for your collection.
All day course review at the Workshop 4th February
There has been a slight change to the 2 hour seminar we advertised in last week's newswire and this is due to the fantastic response to the fashion courses available for designers at The Workshop. We are now extending the 2 hours to a whole day at The Workshop. The trainers for Vetigraph and CAD/CAM pattern cutting will be on hand for the day and all the equipment and SpeedStep software available to use.
This is great for all those interested in the extensive 3 and 5 day courses as this will be an exclusive taster of what to except. Designers will be able to sit down and explain exactly what they want out of the course which will then be tailor made to suit their needs. The day will cost £50 plus VAT and will certainly set you in good stead for your future course.
If you are interested please email jenni@fashion-enter.com

Carrie Barclay
Carrie is the latest budding journalist to join FashionCapital. Hailing from seaside resort Brighton Carrie will be providing FC users with her quirky take on fashion news, reviews and the latest trends to hit Brighton.
‘I have been a writer for 4 years, working on a vast range of projects both in the UK and internationally, and this latest opportunity allows me to write about something I am extremely passionate about – fashion. I've lived in Brighton for 5 years, and believe that the blend of eclectic and cosmopolitan styles makes Brighton one of the most diverse fashion districts in the UK.
My personal style is kookie and unusual, with strong vintage influences and more than just a spattering of wacky charm. My aim is to bring you updates on real fashion as we find it, on the streets, in the bars and club, and on the beach (weather permitting!).'

Warehouse Spring/Summer 09 Collection
Yesterday our latest work experience girl, Kaleigh Whittington, who is experiencing what life is like here at the FashionCapital head office's went on her first assignment to review the Warehouse Spring/Summer 09 collection.
'Warehouse held a viewing for their High Summer 09 collection earlier this week and I went down to report on the trends expected to hit the stores for next season. Taking key concepts from the Spring Summer 09 runways, Warehouse has once again managed to indulge us with vibrant colour palettes, sensuous shapes and alluring prints. Turning out harem trousers, fringed kaftans and Grecian draping, we are sure to be turning up the heat this summer.''
