ITN news interview Fashion Enter!

On the 15th February Fashion Enter will be interviewed by ITN. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only discuss the company and what we do to help support up and coming designers but also to showcase a selection of our designer collections on the National television programme. More details to follow.  

Fashion Capital boutique goes International!

After the success of the FC boutique at events such as Clothes Show Live designers under the umbrella now have the opportunity to showcase at exhibitions across the seas reaching out to a whole new market!  

The Fashion Capital boutique is going international and first stop is potentially Dublin, Ireland! We are currently in talks with Irelands biggest fashion and beauty event Xpose Live which takes place at RDS Dublin from the 9th – 11th April 2010.

Clothes Show London

Many of you have already expressed a strong interest in this years Clothes Show London at Earls Court and stands are starting to fill up. The event takes place from 25th – 27th June and after last years success the FashionCapital boutique is set to become a hotspot for fashionistas. Fashion Capital meets Dynamic Models Club Nights!


To launch the exclusive fashion shows between Fashion Capital and Dynamic models we are now looking at a top London nightclub during London Fashion Week! Designers this will be your opportunity to not only showcase your designs to the capitals most stylish and influential but to also be seen along side Britain's top designers during London Fashion Week!  

The package costs just £100 and includes seven complete outfits of your collections in the fashion show, professional photographs for your portfolio and press releases, inclusion on all pre and post event publicity and a fun fuelled night out at one of London's clubs!  

We have already received a lot of interest but with limited space available for each show we now need to finalise names for the launch. If you would like to be considered please email jenni@fashion-enter.com with a short bio and images of your collection.

CAD/CAM course set for Kingston College students

Fashion Enter will be taking its invaluable and highly sought after CAD/CAM course to Kingston College from 15th – 22nd February exclusively for Kingston College students. The intensive 5 days course has successfully run at The Workshop where we have been able to provide designers with industry expertise and top techniques to save both time and money.

Women in Work success with Skillfast-UK

Over the last few months we have been able to provide free business support and training with grateful thanks to Skillfast-UK on the Women in Work programme. We have enabled over 30 women to join FashionCapital for free and receive vital support and training in courses such as CAD/CAM at The Workshop. The programme is now closed with no further applicants being processed, however Skillfast-UK will be visiting the House of Lords this week to showcase the excellent work that has already been achieved and to encourage the Ministers to fund a further phase.

ASUS design Competition – still going strong!

The Votes and Entries are still coming in for our ASUS competition with schools and colleges taking on the challenge! We've seen some beautiful illustration work come in… It's going to be a tough call!

Stitch in Time Meeting

It's a busy week at the Workshop! Today Fashion Enter is hosting a meeting at the Council Civic Centre for other Haringey Guarantee Providers and local employers to enlighten attendees of the benefits of taking on work placements having gone through the Stitch in Time programme as well as other work placement opportunities available for students to embark on to enter the world of work. Watch this space for the minutes.

Haringey Training Event

Fashion Enter will be attending an event tomorrow at the Triangle Community Centre, to further spread the word of the fantastic opportunities associated with the Stitch in Time Programme in regards to training and employment. The training event is in association with CDG (Career Development Group) and NHS Haringey “Working for Health Project” and Fashion Enter. It is completely free for unemployed residents of Haringey to drop by and learn more about different employment and training opportunities available for them to up skill and get back into work, to RSVP please contact Emily Tullett on 020 8800 9979 or emily@fashioncapital.co.uk.
Catford School Understanding the Fashion Industry

Students from Catford school will be visiting the Workshop tomorrow to engage in the Understanding the Fashion Industry programme by going through the entire Design Cycle and even visiting local manufacturers in the Florentia Clothing Village thanks to Director; Michael Chambi. This is the first workshop with Catford School, a highly enterprising institute dedicated to providing educational excellence to all students therefore aligning perfectly with the Fashion Enter objective of integrating industry with education.
