Workshops and Seminars
It's the second day of workshops and seminars in Barking and Dagenham and this morning a group of young ladies were introduced to world of modelling by Sophia and Sola from Mahogany Models. A whole morning was spent "walking the walk" as carefully direct ed by Sola. There was a final competition for the ladies that attended all of which had that certain "strike a pose" (there's nothing to it!) look after the end of the three hour seminar! Fabulous stuff and many thanks to the duo at Mahogany Models!
Here's what some of the girls had to say:
Dannelle Nicholson, ‘Yes, I REALLY enjoyed today and got a lot of out if!'
Mickeala Thomas, ‘I enjoyed the modelling and learnt a lot. Thank you!"
Vanassa Nsilu, ‘I am in model search for the age 11-15 and it's a great opportunity to understand the world of modelling. I really want to be a model and this seminar has taught me about castings, how to walk…it's been great.'
Staccy Mamuqqa, ‘I found today really interesting and I also learnt a lot from it'
Anita Paul MD of Face Forward gave an excellent presentation on wardrobe personality. Anita is an image development consultanct and she focuses on personal branding and style. Did you know that there are five key personalities to your wardrobe….full article coming soon!

Economic Outlook
The pending recession is drawing closer by the second and inevitably we can only report more unfortunate doom and gloom on the economic front. Taylor Wimpey, one of Bri tain's largest international housing and development group's profits slipped an astonishing 96pc in the first half to £4.3m.
This distinctive decrease indicates there is no quick fix for the UK's diminishing housing market, much to the dismay of Brown and the monetary committee. The vast ongoing slump in this essential market is affecting us all; the skyrocketing inflation rates are decreasing the value of our money and interest rates are forever on the rise to encourage reduced expenditure leaving us with mere pittance.
The lack of disposable income within our economy affects all industries across the board and we should expect and prepare for a probable downturn.
