This is big……REALLY BIG! Hold on to the seat of your pants. The LFF are now working with the talented duo Nicola Hill and Sarah Stuckey of the Clothes Show Live to showcase new designers at the next event 2nd – 7th December at the NEC in Birmingham. How exciting is that – the first time the LFF can work with designers to sell their garments to over 100,000 members of the public plus trade and retailers too!  More details will be following and a special feature will be on your screens shortly!

I read an enlightening report this week in the Sunday Times regarding the net. Do you realise that the UK e-retail industry generated £14.5 billion in revenues in 2004? The Annual UK online spending is forecast to grow from £526 per head in 2004 to £666 per head in 2007? No wonder M&S have just signed a mega buck’s deal with Amazon. This bodes so well for the 55 plus designers that are on the FashionCapital boutique and as Monika said from Femini “I have over 20 enquires and sale leads a week directly because of FashionCapital – it’s just what designers need”.

Recently I was asked to speak at The Women’s Company lunch – great event, lots of interesting people all networking together and some very switched on women making significant headway in industry.  We have been fortunate enough to strike up quality rapours with Margaret Briffa from Own -It.org regarding I.P. along with with Annabel Kaye from Irenicon Ltd regarding employment issues.  Both are such hot topics and key for any business regardless of the industry.  Please click here to read their articles……some wonderful gems of information.
