FashionExpo
Last Wednesday Profile at FashionExpo took place at the Business Design Centre and what a resounding success it was!
The venue was spectacular, the designers and manufacturers highly talented and the atmosphere electric. Here are a few comments made after the event:
Gadja Group Company
‘I am writing to thank you for a great job which you done for Gajda. I hope you liked the menswear collection. Profile was something new but a very interesting experience which will hopefully help establish the Gajda Group Company. International designer secures first order with asos.com!
Accessories designer Charmaine Ho recently joined the ever expanding international member base of FC. Based in New York City Charmaine Ho was part of the Nolcha exhibitors at the NY Profile event at Nolcha Fashion Week. Through joining FC Charmaine has now received her first order will leading etailer asos.com

Second Phase of the South West Delivery Day
Today sees the second phase of Fashion Enter's Delivery Day in the South West with students from the Arts Institute of Bournemouth presenting their work from the workshop Getting it Right First Time.
This is a new styled workshop that provides real enterprise with business enabling the students to sell their work in London based stockists. Today there is a full review of the products and mood boards with each of the "brands" presenting to an esteemed panel of judges.
The Deputy Mayor's Consort (Councillor Anne Filer & Councillor Michael Filer), BBC South West and the Daily Eco have all confirmed their attendance.

Fashion-Enter has collaborated with the Enterprise Pavilion and commenced its mapping exercise. We are currently engaging with companies across the whole of the South West in order to support them and make them known to our designers and artists.

British Fashion Awards
Last night the British Fashion Awards took place at Lawrence Hall, in Westminster hosted by journalist Mariella Frostup. The awards supported by the British Fashion Council and sponsored by Swarovski celebrated the biggest names in British fashion from designers to models.

Hot of the Runway!
Catwalk models at Karen Brost's SS 09 show at London Fashion Week were all sporting sky high heels from Red or Dead's current collection. This evening FashionCapital will attend the launch of Red or Dead's S/S 09 bag collection. Watch this space for the full catwalk report
Gallery 1839 introduces new Israeli talent to the London art market.
Gallery 1839 is hosting an exclusive, solo exhibition of 'Exile: an image of women, women as an image' by acclaimed Israeli artist and photographer Lea Golda Holterman at The Assembly Rooms in Soho London. FashionCapital will be reviewing the exhibition so look out a full report.
New specialist advisor to join FC
Keith Benson of K B Associates is the latest specialist advisor to join FC. A specialist for Business Planning & Obtaining Funding Keith will be providing FC with a series of articles with expertise advice on starting up your business and how to obtain funding.

A short synopsis of the proposed harmonising legislation in consumer rights which will make changes to the current law is the latest article to be found on the Knowledge Bank. Retail News
Marks & Spencer is understood to be planning a second one-day Sale following what is believed to have been a successful one-day promotion last week.
During Marks & Spencer's one-day Sale on November 20, prices on most of its goods were cut by 20 per cent.
The next sale is expected to be on December 4, although the retailer has not confirmed the date.
House of Fraser is holding a two-day Sale at the end of this week, when it will slash prices by up to 40 per cent.
