Apprenticeship Open Day – 12th February
With 26 apprentices enrolled on the Level 3 Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programme we now have more employers seeing the benefits of this scheme and looking to hire an apprentice for their business.
An open day for the programme will take place at the Fashion Studio inviting potential apprentices to meet with employers throughout the day on 12th February 2013 from 10.00am – 16.00pm.
We are also delighted to announce our first recruit on the Level 4 framework will be starting on February 1st and has already secured a role at New Look.
We are currently accepting CV’s for the following roles:
Marios Schwab – Studio Assistant
Sophia Kokosalaki – Assistant Creative Pattern Cutter
Atelier Tamman – Studio Assistant / Assistant Creative Pattern Cutter

Collyer Bristow and FashionCapital will host an evening showcasing the very best in up and coming British fashion design and manufacturing excellence on 21st March from 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Leading industry figures, buyers and press will be invited to enjoy the fashion soiree and review the designer collections.

FashionCapital in Latvia 2013!
Designers – there is still time to apply for representation at the Fashion & Textiles 2013 exhibition in Latvia this year!
FashionCapital has been invited to exhibit at one of the most important events in the fashion and textile industry in the Baltics. From 19th – 21st April we will be representing a carefully selected cross section of UK designers in Riga at the 18th international textile, clothing, leather garments and production equipment exhibition Fashion & Textile 2013(formerly known as Intertextil Balticum).
To be considered for representation you must be ready with your collection, a confirmation of order sheet, range plan, wholesale price list, look book and business cards.

FashionCapital to talk at International Conference
On 19 April 2013, International Conference ‘Fashion and Design: Trends and Perspectives’ is going to take place at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre at the Fashion and Textile 2013 exhibition.
The event will bring together the best of fashion experts, stylists, designers, industry representatives and other fashion industry professionals to discuss the latest trends in clothing design, consumer buying habits, London Fashion Incubator support for young entrepreneurs and other industry topical issues.

Young fashion designer competition ‘Habitus Baltija’
FashionCapital has been asked to be a judge for the young designer competition Habitus Baltija in Latvia
The aim of the competition is to discover new talents and to support young fashion designers by expanding their experience, promoting ideas and encouraging the exchange of information among the fashion designers and professionals of the industry. We are delighted to have been asked to judge the competition and will be offering the winner a free membership with us.

On 31st January FashionCapital and Paula Arkell from Courtenay Connect will be presenting at the Careers Forum event in a seminar on ‘How to get a Promotion’ talking about the best ways to get that promotion, Careers advice and how we can help you with your career! Fashion Careers Workshop – 5th February at The Factory
This is the first in a series of workshops are aimed Graduates (Entry Level), First Job Movers (Intermediate) and Management (Advanced) and anyone who has a passion for fashion and retail and take their career development seriously.

The Factory – Open Day
On 14th February from 10.00am – 15.00pm the new Factory will open its doors for an open day celebrating UK manufacturing. Clients old and new will have the opportunity to review the facilities where we are anticipating production levels of 7,500 each week.

The Factory – ex Remploy staff
Fashion Enter is working closely with Remploy – the UK’s leading providers of specialist employment services for disabled people and those experiencing complex barriers to work.
On 14th January a training course commenced at The Fashion Studio for eight ex Remploy employees and after the successful completion of the training will be hired to work at the Factory as Garment Machinists, Finisher Packers and Pressers.

Consultations between the client and the Fashion Studio technical personnel are normally held before work starts. Such consultations are free to members and charged at the rates shown in section 6 for non-members. The consultation lasts a maximum of 1 hour.
The prices shown in section 6 are valid for 2013 and may be subject to review and change in the future. Fashion Enter Ltd reserves the right to change prices without recourse to clients. Up to date prices are published on our website www.fashioncapital.co.uk

Consultation:
Members = a consultation at the start of an order (up to one hour) is free-of-charge. Additional hours, if required, are charged at the non-member rate. Non-members = £36 + VAT per hour
