Clothes Show Live – Special Guest Appearance!
Each year FashionCapital takes up to 20 stands at the world’s largest fashion and beauty event that is Clothes Show Live. This year will be our fourth year running and we are delighted to announce that a very special guest will also be selling her debut collection in the FashionCapital boutique!
Lauren Goodger from the hit TV show The Only Way in Essex will be selling her range she is exclusively developing with FashionCapital. The collection will be sold on one of our stands and will be showcased on the Image Catwalk in Profile. This is fantastic news as will drive serious traffic to our area, especially on the days Lauren will be making a guest appearance.
This year we have negotiated a fantastic deal with Clothes Show and can now offer members to FashionCapital a huge 25% discount off the original price of a stand. Not only this but we have also reduced the rate of one stand by £100 on last year’s price!

Profile – Attention Ladieswear and Accessory designers!

The first selection process has already taken place however for those designers who were unable to attend this day, a second judging day at The Workshop will take place before the official judging day on 6th September.
Designers across ladieswear and accessories are now invited to present 6 samples from their S/S 12 collection to the FashionCapital team on Friday 2nd September at The Workshop, unit 2, Mavros House, 95 Vale Road, N4 1TG.

New Designer at Debenhams
After the initial selection day at the Debenhams head office we are delighted to announce that Debenhams has requested to review seven of the designers in a further selection process to discuss ideas for their collection.
Each designer will have 45 minutes with Julian Fuller Design Manager at Debenhams to discuss colour palette, range plan including drawings of each designand fabric swatches & trims for the eight piece collection they would intend on showcasing if selected for the Profile fashion event in November. This is set to take place 30th August. Designers are:

Attention Designers!
Fashion Stylist, Siouxsie has been working with Fashion Enter for many years now. She is currently looking for great fashion clothing brands to collaborate with for the Autumn fair fashion show in Birmingham this coming September
Full credits will be given for all brands involved and no fee is required for involvement. There will be a professional catwalk photographer on site taking great runway pictures, so if requested they are happy to send some shots over to you following the show.
Over the past few seasons, they have worked with some of the most influential jewellery and accessories brands from the UK and Worldwide. The show goes on 3 times a day and it is a great showcase for all involved.

The latest from British Designers @ FashionCapital Bath
Those local to Bath or visiting this weekend 27th to 28th August should pop along to our Summer Sample Sale to bag some gorgeous designer bargains. We have teamed up with 3 other independents; Sassy & Boo, Hannah Dulcie and Traffic People and will be taking over unit 4 in Milsom Place next to the café courtyard to offer an eclectic mix of designs that you won’t find elsewhere on the High Street.

FashionCapital Boutique
Are you looking to set up a professional ecommerce boutique? Ecommerce is such a huge part of sales for designers and FashionCapital’s online boutique is the perfect place to launch your online shop or have a secondary shop for revenue.
To sign up for the FashionCapital Boutique designers pay one set fee of £399 plus vat per annum (members, £299 plus vat members) to set up the boutique, after this initial yearly payment designers run the entire boutique themselves including packing and delivery – this means that you keep all profits!
Selling under the established name of FashionCapital can help to support and promote your brand to a huge number of loyal consumers – we also provide you with a great, customisable layout and a basic, simple CMS system where you can upload all information regarding your brand as well as garment details!

The cost of launching your online boutique is £399 plus vat for non members and £299 plus vat for members.

CAD/CAM – start date September 12th
Fashion Enter is working with Vetigraph and Andy Wilkes to bring you introductory CAD courses. The courses will be held at the Workshop for a maximum of 10 students per course. Andy comes to us with over 26 years experience in the fashion industry working with CAD systems and has integrated them into many businesses.
Andy has also worked in the Hollywood film costume industry for over 16 years and has accumulated extensive credits in Vogue, Elle, Details and Mirrabella. He has also worked for many film companies including Warner Brothers, Sony, Universal, Paramount and Disney. Furthermore, he has worked with a host of A-list celebrities including everybody from Naomi Campbell through to Angelina Jolie.

I am looking forward to working with all the designers who are members to FashionCapital, asos Black, John Lewis and all the other clients! Boutique Pick of the Week
This Jean-Pierre Braganza ‘Ancha’ digital print dress is perfect for the coming season with muted tones as well as gorgeous graphic prints carrying through from summer trends into winter.
