Bill Gibb exhibition opens at the Fashion and Textile Museum

A new exhibition charts the prolific but sadly short-lived career of the well-loved British designer, Bill Gibb from his hey-day in the 1970s through to the early 1980s

The exhibition runs from 24th October until 16th January 2008

The Fashion and Textile Museum will play host to a new exhibition entitled Billy: Bill Gibb’s Moment in Time opening to the public on 24th October 2008. Crowned 'Designer of the Year' by British Vogue in 1970, Gibb was an enormous talent and visionary who in the age of the mini skirt created beautiful revolutionary, renaissance-inspired clothes.

Watch this space for the FashionCapital review of the exhibition.

Plan-it Fashion Project

Fashion-Enter embarked on another Getting It Right First Time four week fashion workshop with the Head for Business Young Enterprise Programme (YEP) today.

The programme will provide young people with a wonderful opportunity to work with a cross section of industry experts. Today they met ‘Premium Street Apparel’ menswear designer Meshach with his label Justin Hustlin to see exactly what it takes to succeed in the fashion industry.

Throughout the course the participants will learn about the reality of running a fashion business. They will design their own collections with a PR and marketing plan and in November will have the chance to create their own window display in the Fashion Enter boutique, culminating in a launch party of their collections.

The programme is under the Head for Business banner; it's a unique creative business support organisation, initiated by the National Theatre Education Department.
