Dear all,

Merry Christmas from FashionCapital

Just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Christmas! For us 2011 has been as challenging as its been exciting! The opening of the Factory was a huge undertaking and now its working so well its our greatest single achievement! Credit to asos for also standing by us!

I am proud of the staff – each and everyone of them. However dramatic that sounds its true. Every single person is important in our company and a company is only as good as the people it employs

We are closing all areas except retail over the festive period – everyone needs the break after all working so hard

I really also want to thank you out there for your support too. You make what we do possible. So relax, enjoy and party away. Let’s razzle and shine together in 2012.

Jenny Holloway, Director.

Fashion Enter interviewed on BBC Radio

On 15th December Fashion Enter’s Retail Manager at the Barking boutique, Syreeta McQueen was interviewed live on BBC Radio.

Syreeta was part of the The Breakfast Show with Gaby Roslin and Paul Ross on 94.9 FM in a discussion about shops at Christmas. The interview took place live in the boutique and gave Syreeta a fantastic opportunity to discuss Fashion Enter initiatives, how we support designers and what we do to offer customers something different.

The boutique in Barking recently moved units and now operates from 37A Vicarage Field Shopping Centre. Syreeta explained the various services we offer consumers including exclusive up and coming designer garments, an alterations service and even pop up shops, taking the boutique to other locations to attract more shoppers.

Paula Arkel, who has worked with and supported Fashion Enter for many years also spoke about the importance of supporting small businesses and offering the customer something unique, especially over Christmas when competition with many of the big brands is so great. She praised Fashion Enter for offering a fantastic service in such a hard climate.

A great interview really highlighting the work we do!

The Arts University College at Bournemouth

The four seminar programme with The Arts University College at Bournemouth and the students on the 3rd year of the Fashion Management Course BA has now come to a close

The 20 students undertook a review of how fashion works today, invited to see the three sites The Factory, The Workshop and The Fashion Studio and then they were set a live brief where they had to create a childrenswear brand and business plan.

Jenny commented ‘These students are seriously business savvy! Their core understanding of the Business of Fashion is now impressive and their resulting presentation was outstanding. Credit to Sarah 8888. Course Head for being such a shining light. I am looking forward to seeing the students in years to come as successful entrepreneurs in fashion. Happy Christmas to you all and good luck in your final year.’
