IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME.

Whatever is happening in your life this is a time for happiness! There’s always worry and strife but sometimes there’s just very little you can do about it so go with the flow.

ENJOY THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD. Relax unwind and be happy with friends and family.

Three quick points this week;

We have amended the ever growing job boards…there are literally 100s of jobs now being posted each week on the site; many recruitment agencies now use the site and daily uploads of new jobs are available. To help you with your job search we have split the jobs section into “Jobs Available” and “Jobs Wanted”. 

We are just finalising the Cairo project – if you are a talented ladieswear, menswear and childrenswear designer with an interest in street and casualwear fashion then keep your eyes peeled next year. You could be off to Cairo for a whole month – expenses paid!

Finally a big welcome to Harsharan Landa and David Howell from design label HARSH. It is not often we get blown away by a new concept that combines two different sectors together but Harsh TV have done it!!  Congratulations to David and Harsharan who have managed to work magic from small promotional budgets – just goes to prove what real talent can achieve. A big thank you to the merry team at the LFF, Vanessa, Tracy and Hayleigh. All business is cyclical – there are good times and bad and the world of BSO is no different I can assure you! However we have a fabulous and committed team, a wonderful Director and Chair David Jones and the belief that it will be “alright on the night!” As always thanks to our funders the Creative London team at the London Development Agency.  

Finally thank you to all of you out there that make fashioncapital so successful. We are fast approaching 65,000 unique users and for the month of November we recorded 4.8m hits. We were ecstatic. The site is only so good because you out there keeping us on the straight and narrow. The feedback from you all (in Community) has been brilliant. Bodes well for 2006. 

FashionCapital will be closing from Friday 23rd December until Tuesday 3rd January however our ever trusted chief journalist Jo lles will be posting articles in between Christmas and New Year.
