The Collection on ITV
Last week the launch of The Collection in association with FashionCapital and Edge Models took place at Vendome nightclub in Mayfair and what a resounding success it was! ITN even showed footage from the event on their fashion Channel Fashion 411.

International Fashion Fusion
The IFF competition is now closed and Asos.com has managed to narrow the entries down to ten!
The finalists were invited to a design meeting at The Workshop to view Jessica Ogden’s line and were asked to submit a profile and a new design to coincide with Ogden’s collection.

Clothes Show London – 25th– 27th June – Earls Court
Clothes Show London is a huge event in the fashion calendar and attracts hundreds of thousands of consumers all looking to spend their hard earned cash! This not only drives sales but is also an excellent launch pad to get your label recognised by both press and the buying public.

Asos.com Press Day
Last week FC attended the asos.com press day. The Workshop’s pattern cutters Sevim and Galina have been working closely with Asos Black Label designer Tracey Bartlett to develop a quality high end catwalk inspired line. The results were apparent as the majority of the garments on display at Asos.com A/W press day were Tracey’s designs created at The Workshop. Full report
Real Models
Fashion Enter are calling all Real Models to apply and submit photos along with brief descriptions so that they can grow and be apart of an amazing agency.
The Real Model Agency will cover Catwalk and Fashion Photo shoots along with TV Extra’s.
The good thing is we will not tie you down to a contract and we will encourage you to grow and take up opportunities that come your way and we will off our support as well as offer you jobs in the industry which will cover fashion and television.
Age and Size does not matter as fashion is for everyone and that’s exactly what Real Models are about.
We also have photo shoots available for Designers and portfolios for models at special rates.

Having completed a constructed textiles degree, she has entered the FashionCapital world, as the other half of the Real Models Fashion Agency. Sarah looks forward to using her styling skills where possible and is excited about working amongst the FC team.

Last week we introduced Antonio Marsocci, an experienced multilingual Business and Executive coach and consultant (ex-retail/operations Director) with a wealthy experience in P/L, Senior Management, Training, Sales, Analysis and Budgets within the Luxury Industry. Each week Antonio submits an article with invaluable advice aimed at supporting and developing much needed skills. This week: Everyday Assertiveness.
Oak Lodge
Fashion Enter have been working with a delightful local primary school; Oak Lodge on a series of seminars leading up to the launch of a design competition which will be featured on FashionCapital.co.uk very shortly. Having taken the pupils through the fairly advanced business model of the 4 P’s of marketing, the bright year 4 students showed true entrepreneurial flair by strategically paving the way towards the garments designed from mood boards providing core themes and colour palettes to suit the needs of the identified target customer. The students then presented their designs to the rest of the class highlighting the 4 P’s.
The competition has now launched so don’t forget to vote for your favourite. The winner will have their design made up into a real garment in the Workshop, so you can help make one of the talented students dream come true by voting.
