South African Delegates
This week we are delighted to have senior members of the South African government visit London reviewing a cross section of not for profit and private organisations within the fashion industry.
Abisha Peter Tembo, Chief Director and Elaine Smith, Director: Clothing, Textiles, Footwear and Leather from the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) agenda has so far included a visit to the asos.com head office to meet with the Buying Director to further discuss the International Fashion Fusion project, and a meeting with the Head of Ethical Trading and Quality Assurance at Debenhams looking to create trade links for beaders and crafters in South Africa. They have also been provided with a unique insight into the British Fashion Council by Chief Executive Caroline Rush and today will be visiting Fashion Enter’s The Workshop where they will be joined by the Rt Hon David Lammy MP.
Tomorrow will see the delegates visit Enfield where they will meet the Mayor, the Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Place and the Cultural Services Manager. Overall a fantastic agenda has been organised and we are delighted to welcome the delegation.

The Collection – Summer Showcase at Amika in association with FashionCapital and Edge Models
The Collection show is set for the 23rd of July and it’s going to be a hot one! With some of our best swimwear designers and slinky resort wear on the catwalk this show is going to be fabulous!

Fashion Enter is proud to announce the Workshop has received full accreditation from Debenhams after SGS auditors visited last week. This is an incredible achievement to be recognised as working to the highest industry standards with this certification from a leading industry giant.
Showroom Update
Exclusive Opportunity to Design a ‘Little Black Dress’ for BrandAlley.co.uk
Fashion Capital is collaborating with the online brand emporium BrandAlley.co.uk that specialises in designer flash sales. This is an extraordinary and exclusive opportunity to design a ‘Little Black Dress’ bespoke for their stylish and massive customer base.
BrandAlley are noted for being extremely successful in the online fashion world and have the likes of Herve Leger, Costume National, Dolce & Gabanna and MaxMara selling up a storm on their site. Therefore, we are specifically looking for a high standard in design calibre, accepting the crème of the crop only.
This will be a fast paced, high profile competition surrounded by a marketing and media frenzy in the run up to fashion week, including a feature within 30 days of Fashion and Beauty!! Terms and conditions will be drawn up and sent out on Friday.

Open Day at The Showroom
Yesterday Tuesday 20th July we held an Open Day at the showroom in Kingston, in a search for new and unique designer’s talent.
We previewed the work of 20 new designers that came through our doors, full of unique and innovative designs and ideas, many of them ready to hit the ground running. The Showroom is currently doing extremely well and this is going to be a really exciting time for us with such new and raw talent. If you could not make the open day and would like to show us what you have got then please email emma@fashion-enter.com and send us some professional images of your work.

As the training provider Fashion Enter will then be able to follow through on the advice given with our extensive range of services including, The Workshop for production, the Fabric Studio for sourcing, The Showroom and retail boutiques to maximise sales, the PR dispensary service, Creative Designs for branding and much more.

British Designers @FC Boutique
The planning for this new and exciting boutique that will open on the 1st September is well underway. Already we have been contacted by various press and designers are even contacting us through twitter! Both JoJo and I are extremely proud to announce that the following LFW designers have confirmed they will be taking part, they include:
Atalanta Weller – Bora Asku – Emma Cook – Felder Felder – Goat – Gwendolyn Carrie – Jean- Pierre Barganza – Julien MacDonald – Louise Amstrup and PPQ. The following designers are yet to confirm: Erdem, Hannah Marshall, Osman and Sykes.
V.I.P. invites will soon be going out to press and customers of Milsom place.
