Once again the Profile fashion show will be taking to the Image catwalk every day at Clothes Show Live. This is a huge opportunity to have your designs seen by hundreds of thousands of consumers as well as leading national press! Each designer taking a stand at the event will be put forward for Profile with the 10 of the very best being selected. Take a look at the DVD below to review last year’s event. This could be you!

Be Business Ready

Workshops for up-and-coming designers.

Do you want to be in control of your businesses finances?

Do you want to be able to take good business decisions based on sound information?

Do you want to feel more in control of your production?

Fashion Enter is running a series of four practical workshops to help you get your business in good shape from a financial and production point of view held at Fashion Enter’s Workshop and Factory in North London.
Aimed at new and emerging fashion designers who are either just starting out or even experienced designers who just want to be more business savvy and improve the efficiency and profitability of their business.

These workshops are designed to be practical – giving you real industrial tools of the trade to help you manage your business as well as an understanding of the principles behind them.
Each Workshop will run for 5 hours starting at 9.30 a.m. One-to-one surgeries will be held at the end of each workshop and you can pre book a unique surgery prior to workshop commencing.

The workshops will be delivered by our new Specialist Advisor, Nigel Rust.

Finding a Manufacturer

For a new designer finding a manufacturer can be a daunting task. Indeed, for the more established designer, finding an alternative manufacturer can also be pretty difficult. Many fashion manufacturers in the UK have tended not to be too good at promoting themselves. So how are you supposed to find them?

Christopher O’Reilly took a work placement with FashionCapital whilst at university and we are now delighted to share with you his final collection

Growing up in Belfast and moving in his teen years to Lisburn, it was hard for Christopher to not have heard of ‘The Troubles’. Moving to London at 18 to pursue a career in fashion Christopher was given an outside perspective on Ireland when returning – this is what he has chosen to represent in this new collection.

Apprenticeship

Fashion Enter is working on the first Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship alongside CHENEL (College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London) in the London region ready to commence in January 2011. The course runs for 18 months. Apprentices will spend 4 out of 5 days with an employer, getting paid to work and spend 1 day a week in education, providing the ultimate advantage of earning whilst learning. From the employer’s perspective, they will have worked with an individual for the year and a half to preen their Apprentice for a job in the organisation, benefitting both employers and Apprentices.
