The BrandAlley Bespoke Collection
As you all know the selection for ‘The Perfect Blouse’ took place last week so we have been very busy preparing for the sale to start on BrandAlley’s Le Lab. We were so thrilled with the amount of entries and we really hope to be able to top that with our next theme ‘The Trench’.
In the previous newswire we gave you the theme for February and now we have some great imagery to get your ideas flowing and most importantly the brief! Please read the brief carefully and thoroughly to ensure you have all of the components required to enter.

Apprenticeship
Nearing the final stages for the selection of the first cohort of 15 students for the very first London based Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship in Apparel, the potential apprentices completed a diagnostics test at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London yesterday to ensure key skills are adequate to progress onto the level 3 qualification combined with work experience. This diagnostics test is a standard part of the screening process for all apprentices to enrol via the college and is a great introduction back into learning in English, Maths and ICT.
The Collection at Amika!
The Collection – Winter Warmer will be taking place at Amika London on 27th January 2011!
This fashion show is designed to get you ready for spring, take your mind off the bitter weather and showcase some of the best new and emerging British Designer Talent!
Featuring designers such as Cocoabella, Corset Art, Paolita and Belles of London, this show is set to be incredible! There will also be a surprise performance, free guestlist access and a drinks reception!
Dress to impress – the fashionistas will be out in their droves! (And Amika operates a strict door policy! No trainers!)

Drinks reception : 8.00pm – 9.00pm
Catwalk show: 9.30pm
Party until : Late!
Arrive early to avoid disappointment! There will be no access to the show between 9.45pm and 10pm so don’t be late!

Designer Lounge at W1
There are now slots available for Designer Lounge on 25th January.
The Designer lounge is a weekly event for press, buyers and stylists to review the finest, undiscovered designer collections. Each Wednesday from 5pm the boutique and showroom space situated in Portman Village will host up to 4 of the latest up and coming designers set to take the industry by storm.
Each designer will showcase their collection in the professional and convenient environment which will soon put The Designer Lounge on the map for fresh, up and coming designer talent.
The basement of 2 Seymour Place is now ready and looking beautiful. If you are a designer and would like to take part in next week’s Designer Lounge on 19th January please email Lynsay@fashion-enter.com
The Art of Fashion at W1
The Art of Fashion will see the British Designers@FashionCapital boutique transformed into an art gallery showcasing beautifully presented pieces of art inspired by the world of fashion. Launching on 15th February the event will run throughout London Fashion Week inviting guests to view the unique collection.
We already have some fantastic selection of illustrators, photographers and designers on board. Watch this space!
