NEWSLETTER Dear all,
NY Profile
What an amazing achievement! Last week FashionCapital took 35 British based designers to New York City to showcase at Nolcha Fashion Week and what a resounding success it was!
The catwalk show and Gala had a fantastic turn out and the atmosphere was electric! A big thank you to asos.com who sponsored the event and presented the four winners with their awards on stage. Also to our core funders City Fringe Partnership and the LDA.

Highlights so far have included Amanda Wakeley's cool summer collection of Japanese shapes cut to perfection and stylish safari influences, Marios Schwab with his body hugging silhouettes and pieces harnessed in metallic rope and, relatively new to the scene, Steve J and Yoni P with their mix of structured shifts and draped dresses.

A special mention goes out to ladieswear label Hemyca who came with us to New York for NY Profile. Hemyca presented their S/S 09 Collection at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout for the first time yesterday to a jam packed audience. Hemyca first debuted their collection with Profile last year at the Fsahion Expo event….more about this later!
Hemyca's strenghts lie firmly in their exquisite tailoring and their Dream of Time collection was a delightful fusion of glamour and edginess.

Boutique Pick of the Week
London Fashion Week is now upon us and our capital has transformed into the city of chic with hoards of celebs chauffeured from the catwalk to the infamous after parties. Our cobbled streets are blanketed with beauties from all four corners of the globe, and we must ensure our own efforts of attempting to keep up with all the glitz and glam this biannual event brings are up to scratch. You certainly will wow the likes of queen Vicki B and Aggy D in this show stopping stunner. Bellanina's unconventional twist on the little black dress incorporating buckles for both statement and practical purposes poses the perfect LFW must wear dress of September 08, found at Enter Boutique for £85.
Until next time, have a great week All the team at Fashion Capital x
