Clothes Show London
With only three months left till the big event time is running out to secure your stand. Clothes Show London is a fantastic opportunity for up and coming designers to showcase and sell their designs to thousands of hungry consumers! It’s not only a great way to maximise sells but with the right PR and marketing it is a fantastic launch pad for your collection. There are now limited stands available so if you have been thinking about taking part now is the time to take action.

FashionCapital meets Edge Models club nights!
The proposed club nights with leading modelling agency Edge Models is fully underway with a date and club now in the diary!
If you are a designer this is your opportunity to get your designs seen by the Capitals most stylish including potential customers, buyers and press. As part of the package you will see up to 7 complete outfits from your collection in the fashion show, pre event publicity and support, images of your collection taken by a professional photographer, post event publicity and a fun fuelled night out at one of London’s hotspots!
The nightclub – Amika. The date – 15th April
If there is one person known for throwing great parties it has to be Diddy.
The superstar chose to throw his first UK party’s in 4 years at London nightclub Amika, announcing on his twitter that he was partying in ‘the best club in London’.
Well now FashionCapital are following in the stars steps by throwing our first Profile Edge show in the Amika Night Club.

Do you want to design for asos.com? Last opportunity!
This is the final week to submit entries for the International Fashion Fusion Project! You just need to be 15 years or older and be able to translate your design ideas into sketches. The winner will not only have their design sold on asos.com but will also receive a 6 month placement at the leading etailer and to work along side Madras designer Jessica Ogden. This really is the chance of a life time and should not be missed by any budding fashion designers.
Jessica Ogden will be visiting The Workshop on 1st April to review the designs. Watch this space!

Bicester Village British Designers Collective
The British Designers collective based at Bicester Village will go live on 31st March 2010! This is a totally new concept for fashion today and for six weeks London’s finest LFW designers will be showcasing and selling previous seasons stock at Unit 34! There is another opportunity to take the CAD/CAM course at The Workshop on March 22nd -27th.
Stitch in Time
Fashion Enter have been working with the NDC over the past 12 months on the Stitch in Time programme, and have been delighted to work with such an excellent team of Geoff Hollett, Catherine Llewellyn and Lainya Offside-Keivani for all of their ongoing support. It has been such a pleasure to work this amazing group and we wish Geoff Hollett every success in his future.
“The Stitch in Time project has broadened the horizons of people in Haringey generally and the residents of the New Deal for Commuities (NDC) area in particular. The opportunity to work with the Florentia Clothing Village, one of the few Fashion hubs in the UK and Fashion Enter, a new but exciting social enterprise, has been both exciting and satisfying.
The opportunity to enable people, who were unsure of their futures, to explore their skills in making and designing clothes and have placements with local companies is the sort of ‘cutting edge’ projects that NDC’s are all about! Many of these people had skills but were unable to find work – now they have a route map and experience.
The NDC is pleased that the initial project has been picked up by Haringey Council and it is to be hoped that many more people will be able to benefit from this innovatory project!”

Ideal Home Show 20th March – 5th April
Fashion Enter are pleased to be a part of the Ideal Woman stand at the Ideal Home Show starting this weekend.
The Show will be hosted by Fiona Phillips (GMTV) with a host of some of our other favourite household names (literally) including Linda Barker, Gregg Wallace and Suzi Perry.
Corset Art and Fashion Enter will provide a host of designers collections showcased currently in Enter Boutique’s, offering the finest up and coming designer talent aligning perfectly with the demographics whilst expecting a great attendance of last years vast 200,246 individuals from across the nation with the shows fabulous new look.
Long standing member of Fashion Enter; Corset Art will feature on the runway and will be constructing exquisite corsets made of Financial Times and London Metro papers as well as a stunning wearable corset out of chocolate for the press day on 22nd March, so do not miss this onoce in a lifetime spectacle!

Real Models
Fashion Enter are calling all Real Models to apply and submit photos along with brief descriptions so that they can grow and be apart of an amazing agency.
The Real Model Agency will cover Catwalk and Fashion Photo shoots along with TV Extra’s.
The good thing is we will not tie you down to a contract and we will encourage you to grow and take up opportunities that come your way and we will off our support as well as offer you jobs in the industry which will cover fashion and television.
Age and Size does not matter as fashion is for everyone and that’s exactly what Real Models are about.
We also have photo shoots available for Designers and portfolios for models at special rates.

Fashion Enter visit COLA
Fashion Enter visited City of London Academy – Islington yesterday to enlighten students of the various careers in the fashion industry. We discussed the vast array of careers including stylists, events organisers, journalists, marketing, designing, hair and make up artists, garment technologists and pattern cutters to name just a few! The students were shocked and unaware of the spectrum of potential careers to embark on in fashion and therefore now have a greater understanding of what is required to achieve their dream future jobs.

Oak Lodge
Fashion Enter have been working with a delightful local primary school; Oak Lodge on a series of seminars leading up to the launch of a design competition which will be featured on FashionCapital.co.uk very shortly. Having taken the pupils through the fairly advanced business model of the 4 P’s of marketing, the bright year 4 students showed true entrepreneurial flair by strategically paving the way towards the garments designed from mood boards providing core themes and colour palettes to suit the needs of the identified target customer. The students then presented their designs to the rest of the class highlighting the 4 P’s.
The competition will be launched tomorrow so watch this space under learning and competitions to vote for your favourite design. The winner will have their design made up into a real garment in the Workshop, so you can help make one of the talented students dream come true by voting.
New Jobs Forum
Fashion Capital is delighted to announce the arrival of the newly developed jobs section. This new transformation allows employers looking for staff to enter more detailed information by specifying minimum requirements the appropriate candidate must possess in order to apply for the job posted. This new format also allows the candidate to view the requirements and contact details with ease featuring a new job search bar to enter key words to match your skills with relevant industry jobs.
Postings made before March 5th 2010 have been relocated to the archive jobs.

This week’s favourite is a gorgeous open-back blazer by Gabriella Ravelo.
It’s a young, fresh piece with a gold trim on the lapels and cuffs and a gorgeous cut! A nice touch is the buttons on the back.
This garment would look great teamed with a pair of Hareem pants or skinny jeans, a black high heel and big dark chunky jewellery, to give that sophisticated and trendy look but with a slight sexiness.
