Pictures paint a thousand words and other peoples’ comments matter most! The The Profile Gala was a spectacular success. Thanks to absolutely everybody involved behind the scenes, Rah Productions, the designers, the hard working LFF team and of course TBC too.
“Profile was a very good event for Myolee! We had great exposure to some really good shops and retail buyers and we also managed to secure a substantial order on the first day with more interest generated on the second. Our collection received some very good feedback from all the buyers we saw and many business cards were exchanged throughout the two days. We will definitely follow-up all our leads in the next few weeks and hopefully we will secure more orders.â€

Well done to Sterotype who received an exceptional order – they sold every piece of their collection to a buyer who is, for obvious reasons, remainging totally confidential!
“Profile 7 was an opportunity to capitalize on what was available ….. networking with LFF participants, buyers and others. ….as the hours progressed we met and approached people and have 3 companies we hope to collaborate with, marring our jewellery pieces with their work for sales, exhibitions and whatever else. “It was fantastic that I had the opportunity to gain exposure on the catwalk this year. The event was phenomenal for me.” CoJac
The collaboration with K2C worked really well and this joined up thinking is is just what the industry needs to do in future. There are so many catwalks and fashion events that it’s time to start working together. I have said it before – so many Business Support Organisations talk the talk and walk the walk but actually they never really want to collaborate. Credit to you Rosemary and Marlene. You pulled it off!!

“Many thanks again for organising Profile, I really enjoyed the day on Sunday (unfortunately Tom had to go back to sunny Blackpool on Sunday evening) and did get to speak to a number of people interested in the collection so it was a positive experience. Thanks again. Kind regards” Tom TSEEKO

“…we did, however, have a much better Profile than the last one – picking up agent contacts, buyers and a host of other leads, so this was a big success for us.” Rebel Dogg

And let’s not forget the effervescent Gigi Morley who just worked up that crowd! She looked amazing;an incredible genuine person!
“It was an absolute pleasure to be invited as compere for the evening. I have always been a fashion addict and supporting the UK’s up-and-coming designers is of great importance to me. The highlight of my evening was being able to meet and spend time with not only the talented competition winners, but many of the new designers that gave it their all to make the event successful. I look forward to being involved with Profile for seasons to come.†Gigi Morley
Great to see the two Langley Park School for Boys winners; David Rapper and Edmund Thorn, receive their awards from Lord Andrew Stone for the Delivery Day project. You could see by their chuckling faces that they were thrilled if not somewhat slightly embarrassed and shy!!

We are still recovering in the office so this week I am going to keep the newswire short and sweet.
A special mention of thanks to the team at Harsh; David and Sharon (Sharon is pictured below) for sorting out the DVD on the evening. It’s a bit of a scary picture I know…anyone seen my chin!

Back to normality (what ever that is!) next week.
Keep well.
