We will also see the welcome return of reality TV star Lauren Goodger who will be launching her second range from Lauren’s Collection.

Meet a selection of the designers showcasing at this years event:

Womenswear

Arianna Cerrito: Arianna Cerrito is the first designer to create luxury dresses and handcrafted jewels made for each other, which yet can be worn independently of one another. Her jewels are conceived to make a strong yet feminine statement on the woman’s body and to “leave a memory” of the jewel on the skin once the garment is worn without the jewel.

Bees Company:  BEES COMPANY prepared the collection so that every piece can better adapt itself to each woman. Versatile and comfortable, the clothes can be worn from morning to night, with just a change in accessories to modify the look. Each piece can have a thousand styles, just let your imagination fly.

Belles of London: the classic and contemporary ladieswear label with a distinctive edge returns.

Botocy:  The BOTOCY brand is known for its creative flair, zesty use of colour and experimental “afro-centricity”, whilst maintaining a high level of comfort and chicness.

Black Trash Clothin’:  Black trash is edgy, chic and yet constantly looking for a new fashion handwriting. Our style is for a character who juggles aspect of a busy contemporary lifestyle and never afraid to bend the rules of fashion

Charli Cohen: Charli Cohen has used fitness equipment to create an alternative fashion collection as she explores the undercover world of the female powerlifter. The student from Surrey has used striking yellow fabrics which stand out against monochrome colours in her collection.

Khukhuz: The Khukhuz clothing range has a collection that has been inspired by women. Beryl said: “Women who wear my clothes are passionate and daring enough to embrace their femininity to give a vibrant and sleek silhouette.”

Lynnja Wang: Lynnja Wang designs give a hint of elegance. They are not marked by seasons and can be worn again and again for years. They are both whimsical yet wearable, and pretty without being prissy. “I always want to dress women beautifully. However, pretty things bore me easily. Therefore, I play beauty with a “twist”.

Maisy James: “I’m incredibly excited to have designed my own range and finally see the ideas I put together brought to life. The Profile fashion event later this year is the perfect platform to launch from!”

Rebecca Torres: Rebecca Torres is renowned for her individual bold and bright, graphic sports driven pieces.  Her ability to accentuate and empower the female form was a key element that she brought to this collection.

Vjera Vilicnik: A Croatian born, London-based designer who finds her inspiration in this wonderful and awkward city where dreams get twisted and come true. Every piece is hand crafted, meticulously finished and soul stitched. Each individual piece has a story, and becomes a friend on the journey of its creation.

Collyer Bristow is pleased to be able to provide general legal guidance for FashionCapital users

We are often asked questions by those who are just setting up in business , or who have set up and have queries they would like answered—often these questions are fairly similar in nature and include the same themes… This is the first of a series of questions and short answers and comments  which we hope will be useful. As always we confirm these notes are for general guidance only  — when in doubt please seek specific advice.

Paper trails.. the key to the rest of it …

If you take only one piece of legal and common sense advice (which might also save you a lot of time, money, aggravation  and stress)  away from these comments then it is this. Each time you agree to do –or not to do– something, so  agree to buy, sell , rent , lease , hire, fire,  enter into a contract , cancel a contract, etc.,  keep a note .. so easy to do , but so easy to forget to do…below we mention some examples of why this is important

Boutique Pick of the Week

Now is the time to start updating your wardrobe for next season and leather should be a key player in what you are wearing. If you don’t want to wear leather from head to toe, this pencil skirt by Dominique Kral is a perfect introduction with a flash a leather for the waistband. The bright colours make this skirt unique and quirky, whilst the original digital print make it modern and wearable for the fashion conscious. The fitted form gives a feminine silhouette, which is another big trend for AW12. Pair with a leather shirt to carry on the trend or a white top to set off the print. The skirt is £250 and is available from the Dominque Kral e-boutique, part of the FCB Boutique.
