Hello All,

Hope your week is going well thus far? Mid-week and it seems like the party mood has already kicked in. Monday saw the launch of Giles Deacon’s new and affordable range for New Look. Most of which is already flying out of the flagship store on Oxford Street. Tuesday saw another stylish soiree at The Dorchester in aid of the annual Fashion Fringe competition. Interested in trying your luck? Then check out the “Fringe Benefits” article now online. Meanwhile, the Fashion Capital crew was invited to Aslanturk’s debut show at the Mint Leaf club and thanks to photographer Hugh O’Malley you can now check out some of his distinctive designs for yourself.

While we are in the party mood, don’t forget the “Ideas into Business” initiative that’s happening in collaboration with Croydon College, Fashion-Enter and Phil Innocent, MD of Bust Free. Remember those winning t-shirt designs created by young talent at Croydon College? Well, Phil was so impressed by the designs that he has developed a website to promote the collections further. To celebrate there is a launch party at the Hilton Hotel, Croydon next Tuesday the 20th of March – so we hope to see you there from 6pm onwards.

Fashion Capital’s resident journalists are sniffing out new stories to inform and entertain, coming soon – a review of the much hyped ‘Factory Girl’, the very latest jewellery trends, plus an insight into creating a glossy advertising campaign.

Our Manufacturer’s Online Showroom section is shaping up nicely and is due to go live next Wednesday. If you are a UK based manufacturer and want to promote your business then contact: Maciej on 079 3923 0057 e-mail: representing@fashion-enter.com

and get your own webpage on FashionCapital – completely free of charge.

After the fantastic success of our Fashion-Enter Manufacturing Workshops we are busy planning future dates for this coming April. Beverlee Regan attended the recent schedule of workshops and here’s what she had to say:

“I think Jenny and Vanessa at Fashion-Enter are fantastic for setting up the workshop, it can’t be easy getting these people to take time out of their day to meet us. As I said before, what an opportunity, I don’t think everybody could believe that we were given the opportunity to show a few samples to Belinda the concessions buyer.

On my own that could take me weeks, months or even years to make that contact and get a face to face meeting. I have sent many a sample to large organisation before only to receive nothing back, very disheartening.

Thanks again for all your hard work, where would up and coming designers be without Fashion-Enter and your passion.”

Watch this space for our next batch of workshops.

And don’t forget we now offer individual online mentoring on Fashion Capital to help you move your business forward.

Wishing you all a good week and hope to see you at the launch party next Tuesday.
