London Garments Expo in association with Profile- 2012

It has been a great start to the month with both Fashion Enter and the London Garments Expo attending lots of different events to speak to designers and manufacturers about the London Garments Expo in association with Profile. This week has been all about Graduate Fashion Week, watching the shows and finding out the hottest talent that is just graduating. Danielle and Alison from the London Garments Expo also went to see De Montfort University’s Graduate Fashion Show to speak to the new talent emerging about the London Garments Expo in association with Profile.During the event in August, we are looking at having an exclusive graduate designer section so make sure you have a look to spot all this new talent that we have seen!
The London Garments Expo have also received exciting news this week after attending The Sri Lanka Apparel Forum, organised by the head of the Commonwealth at Malborough House. A delegation of Sri Lankan manufacturers are being organised to part in the event in August and talk about their expertise within manufacturing. The London Garments Expo are also attending another Sri Lankan event, this time concentrating on designers. The Sri Lanka Design Festival is taking place later this month at Shoreditch House and it would be great to see some of these designers on the catwalk at Profile too.The London Garments Expo have also been in contact with an event called Enterprise Mauritius, who would like to take part within the manufacturing sector of the event this August. We are very much looking forward to working with them!
There are lots of other events scheduled now for us to attend including The Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF), an opportunity for creative industries in East England to learn all about funding available as well as events celebrating new designers over a host of areas within the fashion industry.
