The boutique
is doing exceptionally well and the fashion show on Friday brought out the
crowds. There was an excellent turnout and MP Margaret Hodge, Minister of
State for Culture, Media and Sport was there too. We had we had three film crews, three papers and the designer
who razzled the crowds.

commented:
“Actually I was amazed that the
Minister who is responsible for fashion turned up to Enter’s Fashion Show…how
did they do that! I talked to her for quite a while the TV crews were filming –
it was quite amazing. The actual fashion show was very professionally produced
too – this is just what designers like me need. Maximum exposure and it was all
free!â€

Profile 8
Profile is the hottest event
this season! In association with FashionExpo there will be a host of retailers
arriving to review the latest designers and CMT manufacturers. We are delighted
to confirm that Reiss will be attending the two day event on the
5th & 6th November at the Business Design Centre,
Islington, London N1 – Angel tube
station.
Neil Parmenter (Production Director) and Shahid Choudhri (Head of Technical Support) from Reiss will also be reviewing the exhibitors
of Profile and Fashion Expo for the first time. The
headline sponsors of the event this season include Hobbs, Whistles, Debenhams and TopShop – all looking for the very latest garments for fashion in terms of both
design and manufacture.
This time last week Jenny Holloway Director of
Fashion-Enter was deliberating with a team of experts which included stylists, Paul Swaby and Kat from Rah
productions and Erin Bunting from
FashionExpo (City Fringe Partnership). In further meetings Sophie Fawcett Head of Marketing and
P.R. from Hobbs and Amanda
Burrows from Whistles also contributed to the selection
process.
The pre selections were the
highest yet in terms of numbers applying but also for the standard of quality
and design expertise.
Hearty congratulations to the
following that were selected after extensive discussions. So from the 153
applications these are the lucky exhibitors!

“It’s great to see the final
line up for Profile this year; as people in fashion will realise this is a
brilliant line up. To those that didn’t get in we are genuinely sorry and I have
managed to speak to most of you directly now.
In all cases there were strong
elements of the collections but the whole brand just was not ready to be
launched at such a strongly attended buyer’s event. Don’t give up – there is
always next year!
Thanks to everyone helped make
the Pre-Selections such a fun event

FashionCapital
Winner
Myrte de
Zeeuw has been flying high since being one of the Mobile Phone Competition winners – her work is truly
outstanding!
Myrtle spoke to FashionCapital “It’s just something I can’t set aside. I have to work 2D with paper
as well as 3D with fabric. They take turns so to speak. I finish one idea of a
dress and I get an idea that I realise in an illustration. All ideas must get
out! Perhaps it is the difference in approach that keeps it
interesting.”
If you are looking for

The re-launch of
FashionCapital
The much anticipated launch of
the leading “UK Fashion Website†(currently FashionCapital is situated as second
on the Google Home page world wide search) is having a face lift. Over the last
six years FashionCapital has had many bolt-ons and new sections such as the
highly successful Manufacturers Online Showroom which shows production
capabilities of almost 60 CMT units in London. The introduction of such new sections
has created some navigation difficulties so it’s time to have a new site, new
graphics and a new information section too. FashionCapital will be re-launched
in time for Profile on 5th
November.
