Clothes Show London
Clothes Show London is less than 2 months away and FashionCapital is delighted to announce that all stands have now been taken up by new and emerging designers who will showcase under the FC boutique umbrella.
Clothes Show London is a huge event in the fashion calendar and attracts hundreds of thousands of consumers all looking to spend their hard earned cash! This not only drives sales but is also an excellent launch pad to get new designers recognised by both press and the buying public. Our designers have each received a third off the original price of the stand so this really is a fantastic opportunity for any new business.
The event takes place from 25th – 27th June at Earls Court, if you will be there don’t forget to visit stands FB1 – FB20!

Free Business Support for Women in Work
25 learners on the Women in Work programme with Skillset are set to be approved for free business support and membership with FashionCapital. The programme will enable the successful applicants to receive a free annual membership which includes one to one mentoring sessions as well as attending a day seminar with Fashion Enter on all aspects of starting your own business and owning a label.
Non learners can also attend the seminar which takes place on 26th May at Rootstein Hopkins space at London College of Fashion at a cost of £250 plus VAT. Please email jenni@fashion-enter.com to express interest.

Britain’s Next Top Model Live – 22nd – 24th October – Excel London
The FashionCapital boutique is set to make an appearance at Britain’s Next Top Model Live exhibition! New and emerging designers will have the opportunity to take stand at the event under the FC umbrella which will take a prime position adjacent to the catwalk!
BNTM is one of the strongest, well-recognised and well-established brands in the fashion and beauty market in the UK.
BNTM Live will be a Mecca for women wanting to enter the devastatingly glamorous and infamously unattainable world of fashion. The event will include unique and awe inspiring features along with a dedicated exhibition.

Retail Diploma
Fashion Enter have been awarded to deliver the creative and media, and retail business diplomas in Croydon and Sutton via the educational hub and retail boutique in Centrale Shopping Centre. The Diploma is an alternative or addition to the traditional progression of education through GSCE’s and A Levels. The benefits of the Diploma provide 14-19 year olds hands on employment experience working in organisations supported with theory taught in schools. This new qualification paves the way for pupils to gain a comprehensive insight into the world of work using practical industry specific skills paving the way directly into the area of employment desired. Fashion Enter are delighted to be delivering on this initiative and will commence in September 2011.
The Showroom updates
The Showroom has recently held two meetings with the International Buyer at Harvey Nichols and this Friday sees a meeting with the Contemporary Menswear Buyer.
Success stories this week include two designers now showcasing their new collections on leading etailer asos.com and ladieswear designer Ruby Rocks can now be found on Simply Be.
Le-Antonio Nelson is currently doing work experience at The Showroom. He is developing a flash website that will act as a digital look book on The Showroom section of FashionCapital.
The website will consist of a flash carousel design with thumbnail images of Fashion Enter’s designers. The design aims to offer an ease of use and navigation, allowing the user to view any designer they wish by a simple movement of a mouse. Every thumbnail is hyperlinked to a dedicated page for that specific designer with there line-sheet and a bio. This is a fantastic development from Lee and we are looking forward to its launch, watch this space!

Five Free memberships available for Graduates!
Graduate Fashion Week is just around the corner and each year FashionCapital takes a stand to ensure students and graduates are given that all important advice and support to succeed in fashion today.
This year we will be awarding 5 graduates with a free annual membership to FashionCapital worth over £200 each. This will enable them to conduct one to one mentoring sessions, stock their collection in our boutiques, create a free online boutique, be represented at The Showroom, use The Workshop services at a discounted rate and access member’s only areas of the website. Business Workshop with Executive Coach and Consultant Antonio Marsocci
On 16th June 2010 an invaluable workshop for designers and new business start ups will take place at the Business Centre of the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane London with Dr. Antonio Marsocci.
Retail and Operation for Matches, Antonio Marsocci has worked for big luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani and is now working as a consultant for brands like Georgina Goodman, Michikokoshino and Marie Claire Italy etc. Marsocci is an experienced multilingual Business and Executive coach and consultant (ex-retail/operations Director) with a wealthy experience in P/L, Senior Management, Training, Sales, Analysis and Budgets within the Luxury Industry.

Brazil Trend Report
The Minas Trend Preview is one of Brazils leading fashion events and is now into its sixth season. It is firmly on the social calander and attracts both national and international press and buyers. The event is managed by not for profit concern FIEMG (Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais) and commences April 28th until May 1st at Lagoa das Ingleses in Belo Horizonte the state capital.

British Designers Collective
On the 7th May the British Designers Collective closed its doors after six weeks trading as a pop up shop at Bicester Village in Oxford. Having worked alongside 25 LFW designs over the past six weeks Fashion Enter can honestly say it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had.
