Hello All,
How has your stylish week
been so far? Here we seem to be rounding off the year with some great success
stories from our ‘Representing’ designers. For those of you that don’t know
‘Representing’ provides that essential link between designer and buyer, fixing
appointments, introducing collections as well as sourcing designs for retailers
too.
Francineg at Allders
First up Sylvie at Francineg
has secured a concession for her jewellery range at Allders. Here’s what she had
to say about it:
“I am absolutely delighted
to be awarded this concession with Allders. I am so pleased and I really wanted
to thank Jenny Holloway and Angelina Purcell for all their help and support.
It's hard being a designer in today’s competitive fashion environment but with
perseverance, a good product and real business support I have proved it can be
done. The concession goes live in Allders today and this is the best Christmas
present I could have ever expected.” Sylvie – Francineg Jewellery & Fine Art.
Catharina on the Red Carpet
And she’s not the only one
seeing the year out with a bang. Designer Catharina Eden was recently called
upon to dress a very glamorous Finnish MP. Here’s her story:
"I have always had a
very strong view on what a lady should wear to an important red carpet event,
and I was lucky enough to make my debut in the couture world by dressing a very
glamorous MP called Leena Harkimo in Finland for our Independence Day Gala held
in the Presidents Castle.
I was naturally very nervous anticipating her entrance on television and was
delighted when she made her appearance. She looked stunning! Very elegant,
feminine, understatedly glamorous and it suited her just perfectly. So I was
very pleased.
Hopefully I will have the pleasure of continuing to make couture gowns to many
events still to come, since I enjoyed myself whole heartedly."
