The Showroom Launch Party
Fashion Enter is delighted to announce that the launch party for the new Showroom in Kingston upon Thames will be taking place on 4th March. In collaboration with Kingston College the Showroom is an exclusive, invitation only venue where buyers and retailers can review the very best designer collections.
On 4th March 6pm – 8pm the launch party will celebrate this latest development in the ever expanding Fashion Enter company with a whole host of press, buyers and designers coming together for an evening of networking and review of the new venue.
Clothes Show London
Spaces are really filling up now with only a few stands left as designers continue to flock to the fantastic offer available at Clothes Show London this year.
The standard of work submitted has been fantastic making the deliberation process extremely difficult. We are still welcoming applications for designers wishing to feature under the FashionCapital.co.uk Boutique umbrella and utilise extensive press opportunities as part of this unique package. LFW
London Fashion Week is fast approaching with the first day of shows taking place next Friday 20th February. FashionCapital will be reporting live throughout the week to bring you all the key trends to look out for, and to avoid, next Autumn/Winter! Watch out for exclusive interviews, daily reports and back stage gossip at one of the most renowned fashion capitals of the world!

Employer Zone Launch
Today FashionCapital was invited to the launch of the Haringey Guarantee Employer Zone. The Haringey Guarantee is Haringey Council’s flagship scheme tackling unemployment in the North London borough. The Workshop is situated in Haringey and the new fashion courses are designed to provide innovative training opportunities and up-skilling of individuals and new business start ups. The training schemes we are now equipped to facilitate is exactly the kind of innovation Haringey is looking for. The launch was very successful with representatives from KIS Training, Haringey Council, Employer Zone and the Learning and Skills Council all congregating together to meet with the local businesses of Haringey.
Valentines Day
This Saturday Cupid's bow and arrow will be pointing in every direction as love descends onto the nation in a frenzy of Valentine's Day delights. FashionCapital will be getting in the mood with a series of heart induced articles reporting on the perfect Valentines Day gifts and of course what to wear on the special day!

Clique Club Party
To celebrate the holiday of love, events company, Clique Club, are holding their own 2009 Valentine's Day Party at the exclusive venue of The Mansion, Port Lympne Zoo, Nr Hythe, Kent. If you like dressing to impress then this event is for. The Port Lympne Mansion is one of the most stunning venues in Kent, the party will be held in 5 different rooms inside the Mansion including a fashion show showcasing FashionCapital designer collections.

The Workshop fashion courses
Last week we reported on the highly successful seminar we held at The Workshop and since then the feedback has been fantastic. The Workshop is soon to hold an extensive range of fashion courses for all levels of ability and experience. Last Wednesday gave potential participants the opportunity to review the equipment and meet with the trainers. They were also privileged enough to be given a seminar by leading entrepreneur Karen Radley. This is just one of the comments we have since received:

Retail news
The second largest Icelandic bank Landsbanki, which was nationalised last October, has seized control of Baugur's stakes in House of Fraser, Aurum, Iceland and Hamleys. They have reiterated that they have no intention of selling their shares in House of Fraser. Landsbanki now controls Baugur's 35% stake in the upmarket department store. H&M have also appointed board member since 2000, Karl-Johan Persson as new chief executive replacing Rolf Eriksen who will retire this year.
