Models Casting Day
Yesterday Rah Productions had an excellent modelling screening day for NY Profile catwalk show, taking place tomorrow.
Here are some of the best models who have been selected for the show, as used by Alexandra McQueen in his latest catwalk show no less!
Fashion Networking Dinner
Over the past few days the British designers have been gradually arriving in New York ready for the big day tomorrow. Last night an exclusive dinner and drinks evening took place at Barna restaurant and lounge. FashionCapital, Nolcha and the designers were able to network together for the first time face to face.
After months of emails and preparation it was wonderful to put names to faces and the evening of tapas and sangria was an excellent opportunity for all those last minute questions.

The NY Profile and Nolcha partnership kicked off today with Nolcha fashion designers showcasing their S/S 09 collections. We went along to get a sneak preview.

The Brits are Coming…
News that 35 British designers have crossed the Atlantic Ocean to showcase at the debut of NY Profile in New York has certainly attracted the press.
Fashion Editor of the Daily Telegraph, Hilary Alexander and Editor of trade journal Drapers Record are both set to attend the Gala tomorrow evening at the Prince George Ballroom and New York press includes Wall Street Journal, AM New York, Forbes and word on the grape vine is that OK is coming to the Gala too. .

The gala will not only see leading etailer asos.com present awards to both British and American designers but we now have two additional awards from Lynn Furge editor of Metier Magazine and Lauren Parker Editor of Accessory Magazine.

Eltonography: A Life in Pictures
Proud Camden presents the celebration of the private life of a public icon. A staggering collection of images from an enigmatic era formulated by world renowned photographer and close friend to Sir Elton John, Terry O'Neill. The two's unique relationship and O'Neill's unprecedented access to the flamboyant star allowed this astonishing collection of imagery capturing moments throughout Sir Elton John's lengthy career including earlier never been seen photography. The much anticipated exhibition runs from 24th September to 2nd November in Proud Camden's South Gallery.
