Dear All,

Hope your week is going swimmingly? Here at FashionCapital HQ we have been receiving some fantastic feedback about the site and the work that we do. Here are a few examples, thanks for the comments it’s always good to know when we are getting it right.

Renata, Freelance Fashion All-Rounder

“You guys are doing an awesome job, I am sure a lot of people are very grateful for all the effort and passion you guys put into making the industry a better place.”

Caroline Oates, Fashion Designer

“I am a Liverpool based fashion designer and have found your website very useful and exiting.”

 John

“I have been all over the world and I don’t think users realize how lucky they are to have www.fashioncapital.co.uk as a free resource. There is nothing like it in the world. You have helped me tremendously time and time again. This is why I go on to try to help out there. This is what makes the world go round in fashion.”

Naz, CCS Ltd Manufacturers

“I have lots of orders now from designers. My unit is in Seven Sisters and I have been supplying TopShop directly for years. I am buying a new factory and I needed new orders – Jenny Holloway introduced me to new designers and now my business is strong. There are very few genuine people in this business but it’s good to work with the likes of Jenny and FashionCapital.”

Getting It Right at Eastbury School

Sister company Fashion-Enter has been busy introducing their ‘Getting It Right First Time’ workshops to pupils at Eastbury School. Over 120 pupils attended the first workshop yesterday and listened to guest speakers: Jenny Holloway (Director of Fashion Enter), Hayleigh Amos (Retail Manager) and Ismail Erbil (a designer that has worked with many top names including Marjan Pejoski and his renowned Swan Dress worn by Bjork at the Oscars.)

Jenny would like to add special thanks to Ismail for giving such an excellent presentation.

Helen Fergey, Technical Head of the Eastbury School commented: “This is just what makes Eastbury School so innovative. We have excellent staff that ensures that pupils have an exciting introduction into the world of fashion. We have managed to combine this workshop by Fashion-Enter with our curriculum which involves making a garment from a yard of fabric and also a review of Pop Art. Our fashion show is in March 08 and we will be working along side Fashion-Enter during this time. The students were fully engaged and very enthusiastic about the next workshop on 10th October when we have a presentation form Reiss the high street designer retailers.”

Who knows…perhaps the next Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen will be discovered at Eastbury School. More from the students soon…

Profile Accessory Designers

FashionExpo in association with Profile is just weeks away. After much deliberation over which Accessory Designers to feature on this season’s catwalk a decision has been made. It has been decided that ALL accessory exhibitors will be showcased – the standard was that strong!
