Select Profile 5 was far and away the best yet – we had so many VIP guests attend at the Gala that it was literally standing room only. There was the normal “fashionable” delay whilst the buyers and press were seated and then the lights rolled for Catwalk Theatre. As you can see by some of the pictures below it was fantastic.

Many congratulations to all the designers that made the event such a success. The winners selected by the retail sponsors are as follows:-

As you can see Nuno was just a little pleased to receive his award and partied long and hard into the night along with Leah Wood, Mathew Holbrook (the face for menswear!) and the Dream Team.

The compare for the evening was Lauren Laverne and she was brilliant – alive and vivacious just like the event itself. And if we talk about vivacious how could we not mention here Zandra Rhodes who was just outstanding along with Jane Shepherdson Brand Director of Topshop


 



 


 


As always, we had our finale which, in the true spirit of Profile, was unique.


 



 


We would like to say a very special mention of thanks to Caroline Withey from House of Fraser, Stefan Pisticcio, Simon Pickering from Debenhams, Nick Samuel and Imogen Crosby from Hobbs and Jane Sheperdson and Zandra Rhodes the retail sponsors. So as you can imagine we are all shattered here but on a definite high!

Designers included: Renato Termenini, Satorial Art, Daniela Benson, Nuno Reiss (Winner), Grace (Winner), Micheal Azu, Born in 72, Elvelin Stone, Emmy Collins London and Field. Accessorie designers included:- Pijja, Ruthi Orlin, Angel Jackson (winner), La Modiste Modeste, Actar Actar, Olivia Tawakkoli (winner), Asif Kisson and Hoori Falsafi. We also had a guest speaker Lauren Laverne X-FM drive time radio host who presented the show. Celebrity models included Leah Woods and Matthew Holbrooke, as well as a guest apperance from the colourful Zandra Rhodes! [More->>]

Select Profile 5 promises to exceed all expectations with over 140 press confirmed and buyer attendance up 40% on last seasons event. Buyers include Syreta Hurst from Harvey Nichols along with Suzanne Pengelbury from Harvey Nichols; Amanda Burrows from Wistles; Antoinette Hunter from Lilac Blue; Antony Sheppard from Antony Sheppard Ltd; Ian Gibbs from Goldsmiths; Nicola Manne from Willma; a four man team from Diva; Anthony Grant from Genius; Moura Kami from The Daimaru Inc; Mr Toshi Ishida from Itochu Europe Plc; Stephen Edwards from Mitsubishi Corporation (UK) plc and and Andrea Gillard from Stone to name a few! Leah Wood Fronts Fashion Initiative
Following in the footsteps of last August’s hugely successful Profile 4, London once again hosts the fashion industry initiative, PROFILE SELECT, on Wednesday 9th March 2005 at Vinopolis, London.
