What has been particularly rewarding is to see some of our designers such as Trollied Dolly, Corset Art and Fosuism selling out of lines and make excellent returns as they are selling at Retail prices direct to the public.
FashionCapital has also made some excellent trade andpress contacts not least with Hilary Alexander the Fashion Editor of theTelegraph who commented "This is the best Clothes Show yet!" and also said that she loved what Fashion Capital were doing, helping young designers.
Trollied Dolly's Louise commented "This clothes show has been fantastic and I'm so glad we came!"

CAD CAM in pattern making – Intermediate level >>
One of the most expensive on costs for designers today is the expense of pattern cutting and grading so why not start the New Year with a new course and learn how to do this art yourself! We are delighted to announcethat we are now offering CAD CAM pattern making and grading courses at the Workshop from January 2009. The 5 day intensive course will cost just £50 plus VAT a day and you will be taught by the experts using the latest technology from Vetigarments. The full equipment is on site at the Workshop based in Haringey. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Credit to the Fashion Entrepreneurs at the AdultCollege of Barking and Dagenham and of course the fabulous Syreeta McQueen fororganising such an excellent event at Vicarage Field on Saturday. There wereover 300 people in attendance and the shopping centre was buzzing with excitement. This is just how to win over local customers and get the tills ringing forChristmas. Albertaand Qualeen were two main co organisers f the event with Syreeta and bothcommented on how exciting it was to see their creations on a catwalk model.

We are ready to take applications now! Fashion Capital will be hosting OCR Nationals Level 1 and 2 in Art and Design but it will bewith a unique cutting edge. All students will have the chance to study for the qualificationsbut actually make garments too so they can start their own businesses. As FashionEnter (sister company to FashionCapital) has their own boutiques and ecommerce websites the world is your oyster! So star the New Year with a new career and start living that fashion dream!
In Level 1 we will be offering the First Award (totalof 120 hours learning), the Award (240 hours) and the Certificate (380 hours)
