Clothes Show Live
After months of hard work and preparation the FashionCapital boutique has been a resounding success at Clothes Show Live in Birmingham this year!
Positioned in the Style Show next to the Designer Catwalk, FashionCapital designers have been selling their unique collections to a frenzy of avid shoppers for the last six days! Doing particularly well have been the stunning corsets by Corset Art, the contemporary stylish accessories by Fosuism and delectable dresses of Trollied Dolly. Overall a fantastic experience!
Revving up for Clothes Show Live!
Rev up has enabled fashion businesses in the NDC area to showcase at the world's largest fashion and beauty event and it has been a resounding success!
Today is the last day of Clothes Show and over the last six days over 24 up and coming designers and manufactures have been selling and showcasing their collections to the masses of consumers attracted to the huge scale event!
Rev up has enabled 6 businesses to have a presence with stand space and some even made it onto the catwalk! Overall each company has had a successful experience either with selling stock or getting their names and designs recognised.
G-mania commented:
"Having the opportunity to showcase and sell my collection at Clothes Show Live has been fantastic. Without Rev up this would not have been possible for me – G-mania is a young business and exhibiting at such a large event is a huge expense and risk for up and coming designers. To be handed this opportunity is just amazing and we have really made the most of this. We are delighted to have had a presence at this years Clothes Show not only on the stand but also on the catwalk."

Profile Storms Clothes Show Live!
Since arriving at Clothes Show live the Profile fashion show has hit the Image Catwalk at 1.30 every day wowing fashionistas with 10 stunning, up and coming designer collections!
Each day crowds have gathered around the catwalk eagerly anticipating the fresh designer talent on display and overall Profile has been a huge success at the world's largest fashion and beauty event!

Haringey Council supporting home-grown talent
Haringey Council has funded eight local businesses to attend the Clothes Show. Overall it has been a great opportunity providing a platform for both promotion and sales. Michael Goodmaker from Ends Leather commented:
"Great show and well organised by a very hard working team at FashionCapital. Everyone has taken money and it has been busy at times. Thank you to Haringey Council for helping some of the businesses here have their stand sponsored at a great public show like this."

ASUS Laptop Competition
ASUS have a stand at the Clothes Show under the FashionCapital Boutique. The footfall and interest has been steady and votes on our design competition have doubled! The UL Series competition has also been incredibly successful with hundreds of new entries – the winner wins a trip to Utah, USA!
Ken Lee, an ASUS employee has been on the stand all week:
"There has been a huge amount of interest in both the competitions… I look forward to seeing all the shots and winners online!"

Stitch in Time
As the Stitch in Time program winds up for Christmas, local manufacturing units begin to close for the quietest period of the year and jobs are become increasingly scarce. However offers from leading industry giant; Jaeger will be ready to take on placements in the New Year as the manufacturing sector picks up too.
This is an extremely exciting time for those unemployed in the Haringey borough with unbelievable opportunities around the corner – perfect timing for New Year and a fabulous new you.
Made for Leather' winner
Fashion Enter would like to congratulate Sarah Hodgen for her outstanding submission of work which has lead her to be crowned the winner of the Made for Leather competition in conjunction with Pittards leather manufacturers.

Free business support for Women in Work
Over the past few months FashionCapital has been able to support many women working in the fashion and textiles sector with great thanks to Skillfast-UK. Due to the Women in Work funded programme over 20 women have gained free business support and training at The Workshop as well as free membership with FashionCapital! We are delighted to announce that this offer has been extended and further places are now available for this fantastic opportunity!

Creative Designs
Recently the CD Team have been working on a clients design work. Myra Stuart from Tea & Oranges asked us to design her Logo's. The final design was chosen last week and here it is…

Festive Fashion: Enter Boutique Barking
Join us for an evening of festive excitement and glamour extravaganza on Saturday 19th from 2pm – 8pm.
Special guest Farah Damji is the designer for Moksa, member of FashionCapital.co.uk and celebrity socialite having experienced an extraordinary life and has written an autobiography divulging the secrets of her life story and providing a book signing session for those with any pressing questions about her past whilst picking up a perfect stocking filler this Christmas.
An incredible fashion show will take place in the boutique fully equipped with mulled wine and mince pies. The exclusive show will feature all designers collections in store whilst launching the creations of local students participating in the "Little Black Dress Project".
Don't miss the catwalk show from 2pm – 4pm and the book signing from 5pm – 7pm.
